Mumbai, January 22 - After a dismal show in 2022, the Independence Day 2023 week is gearing up for another mega box office period as multiple Indian titles are aiming to release during this time.## Ranbir Kapoor's action thriller film "Animal" with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga was long announced to hit theaters on August 11, 2023. The highly-anticipated film will be released in multiple languages worldwide. It also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol in prominent roles.## While "Animal" is easily one of the most-awaited Bollywood flicks, it may not get the advantage of the solo release as another biggie, "Gadar 2" is eyeing the same slot. The sequel to all-time blockbuster "Gadar" stars Sunny Deol will reportedly be hitting theaters on the same day as "Animal" on August 11. ## Mahesh Babu's blockbuster "SSMB 28" with director Trivikram Srinivas will be the major Telugu biggie to release during Independence Day week this year. The movie was supposed to release on April 28 but due to the delay in shooting, the makers have postponed the release to August 11, 2023. ## As per the latest reports, superstar Rajinikanth's most-waited action comedy film "Jailer" has been shifted to an Independence Day week release. Mumbai, January 22 - Yash Raj Films' highly-anticipated spy action thriller Pathaan, starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan is all set for a monstrous start at the box office. ## Directed by Siddharth Anand, "Pathaan" is witnessing phenomenal response in advance booking and becomes the biggest pre-sales scorer Bollywood flick post the covid-19 pandemic. It has crossed Ayan Mukerji's "Brahmatra Part One: Shiva". ## "Brahmastra", which was the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2022, scored 17.70 crores gross in the advance booking itself for the opening day. Guwahati, January 22 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's spy action thriller Pathaan is set to big screens on January 25, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. The movie, however, has been at the center of controversy, and recently, a group of people allegedly stormed into a cinema hall in Assam's Narengi on Friday, vandalizing property and burning down posters of the movie. ## Shah Rukh Khan has expressed concerns over such incidents and dialed Assam CM to look into this matter. The CM took to his Twitter account to announce that his government will do anything to protect law and order in the state and ensures full support for the screening of the film. ## "Bollywood actor Shri @iamsrk called me and we talked today morning at 2 am. He expressed concern about an incident in Guwahati during screening of his film. I assured him that it's duty of state govt to maintain law & order. The buzz for the movie is sky-high and the industry is anticipating something big with this Yash Raj Films' biggie. ## The advance booking for the movie was opened yesterday, and as you read this, it has already sold over 5 lakh tickets, including 260K in three national chains (PVR, Inox & Cinepolis) for the opening day in all formats. ## The advance booking collection of "Pathaan" has already crossed most of the Bollywood films' pre-sales post the covid-19 pandemic, and by tomorrow, it will be behind only "Brahmastra" which sold approx. 6 lakh tickets for the opening day in advance. The movie also stands a chance to cross "Brahmatra" opening day pre-sales by tomorrow or the day after.## As per the industry insiders, "Pathaan" will be released on over 4500 screens for the Hindi version, making it one of the biggest releases ever. Mumbai, January 18 - Yash Raj Films has opened the advance booking of its highly-anticipated spy action thriller Pathaan on limited screens in IMAX, 4DX, and 2D formats. ## The full-fledged advance booking of this Shah Rukh Khan-fronted will kickstart from January 20, but ahead of that, the response to limited pre-sales is terrific, to say the least. The same is being seen overseas where advances opened 15 days before the release.## The advance booking post the covid-19 pandemic hasn't really created much interest within the Bollywood industry except for "Brahmastra" but here, "Pathaan" has given an early indication of what's coming. The total advance booking gross collection of the movie is nearing 10 crores in all formats.## The premium formats were witnessing higher pre-sales in early numbers with 4DX shows and IMAX shows being fast-filling, but now, the 2D format is also having good pre-sales.
