Akshay Kumar led action-comedy film, Bachchan Pandey went on floors in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan on Wednesday, January 6. The movie also stars Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Arshad Warsi in the lead along with Pankaj Tripathi, and Prateik Babbar in supporting roles. ## As the movie just commenced the shoot, actor Arshad Warsi was already blown away by superstar Akshay Kumar and feels Akshay is a multitalented superhuman. Director Om Raut Reacts On Saif Ali Khan's Controversial Remark On Adipurush

Not so long ago, actor Saif Ali Khan sparked controversy for saying that his role of Raavan in the upcoming film Adipurush is humane and his character will "justify his abduction of Sita". However, the actor had to apologises later for his statements after people took offense.## This was not the first time when Saif found himself on the controversial side. He had landed in a similar fix back then when he declared Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, to be historically inaccurate. The actor played antagonist Udaybhan Singh Rathore in the movie. ## Now, the director of Adipurush and Tanhaji, Om Raut has reacted to Saif's remark and said that he would have preferred to not have drawn negative attention towards the film before its release.## "I think Saif sir has his own way of thinking. What he kind of meant and what comes out is maybe not always communicated well. That's one thing that we've come over... We're over it. I love Saif sir for the commitment he has for the subject, the type of reading that he has done. That's the Saif Ali Khan that we should know, and that's the Saif Ali Khan that's a page of Indian cinema", Om Raut told Rajeev Masand in an interview. ## In his interview with Mumbai Mirror, Saif had said, "It"s interesting to play a demon king, less strictures in that. But we will make him humane, up the entertainment quotient, justify his abduction of Sita and the war with Ram as revenge for what was done to his sister Surpanakha by Lakshman, who cut off her nose". ## Talking about the film, Adipurush is an adaption of Ramayan in which Prabhas is playing lord Ram. It will be produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair. So, I am glad that people liked the film".## AK Vs AK was one of the many films released directly on the OTT platform in 2020 as theaters were closed due to the covid-19 pandemic. And now, as the industry gradually opening up, Anil Kapoor is hopeful that people will throng to cinemas to watch movies. ## "There are few films that are made for the big screen only. There are a few films of mine that are going to be released this year, so I hope audiences watch those films in theatres. I am sure about that because people are eager to watch films in theatres. All India Exhibitors have requested superstar, Salman Khan to release his most-awaited action movie, Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai on Eid 2021 to give a boost to single screens/independent cinemas which got a massive set back due to the covid-19 pandemic.## The Cinema Associations are hopeful that a Salman Khan movie can revive the halted single screen business hence, they want the superstar to release his Radhe on Eid 2021 in every cinema across the country for not just financial support but to give a ray of hope to cinemas owners and employees in the context of their future. ## In the letter addressed to Salman, they wrote, "As you are aware, 2020 has been a rough year for millions of people across the country & the ones associated with India's film exhibition sector haven't been an exception. Over the last 10 months, hundreds of single screen/ Independent cinemas have pulled down their shutters permanently & this has resulted in the loss of livelihood for lakhs of people who were employed by them directly & indirectly".## "Films are to theatres what fuel is to a car. Without a constant supply of content that is relevant to its audience, running a cinema hall is close to impossible. For over a decade now, your films have played an important role in bringing audiences to single-screen cinemas, which are otherwise starved for content that caters to the sensibilities of people who patronize them", they added.## "Your film Radhe - Your Most Wanted Bhai is among the few that are capable of resurrecting the fortunes of independent / single-screen cinemas across the country. A film like that, if released widely can give not just financial support & relief, but also a ray of hope to owners & employees of theatres in the context of their future. We request you to plan the film's release at every cinema in the country on Eid 2021, as there cannot be a better idea than that for us film exhibitors & more importantly for millions of your fans, whom we cannot wait to welcome back at the theatres", they wrote requesting the actor for a mega release of Radhe.## The letter went on to say that since there hasn't been a single case of people contracting COVID-19 traced back to a cinema hall anywhere in the world, they are confident of keeping Salman's fans safe by following comprehensive protocols and guidelines.## They signed off stating that they are anticipating his support on behalf of lakhs of Indians who make a living by working at & for cinema halls.## Stay tuned...
