Actor Faraaz Khan Passes Away At 46

Bollywood actor Faraaz Khan was battling for his life after being diagnosed with a brain infection, has passed away in Bengaluru on Wednesday at the age of 46. His family members, Farhad Abousher and Ahmed Shamoon had started a fundraising campaign to gather funds for his treatment.## "Faraaz was admitted to the emergency ward of Vikram hospital where we found out that he suffered three consecutive seizures due to a herpes infection in his brain that had spread from his chest. Besides, while he suffered from these seizures, he swallowed the mucus and saliva of his cough which entered his lungs and caused pneumonia", the family had said in the statement then.## "The doctors are trying their best to get him out of danger but that will require another 7-10 days of critical care...It has been years since Faraaz has worked in films. And 25 lakhs is a huge amount to be arranged. We have a simple life and earn our living with our job and enjoy spending the weekends with our family", the family had added.## Pooja Bhatt had also urged people to offer financial support for Khan's treatment. Following this, soon after the news of his illness came out, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan had extended his support and had paid Faraaz's hospital bills.## Khan had marked his debut in Bollywood in 1996 with Vikram Bhatt-directed 'Fareb'. He found fame after he featured as Rani Mukherjee's husband in the social drama 'Mehendi'. After making his debut in 2014 with the romantic-action film "Heropanti", the young actor has been unstoppable and has consistently given superhit films except for "A Flying Jatt" in 2016. ## Only eight movies of experience, the 30-year old's last release, Baaghi 3 was a potential 100 crore club success ((which just stopped at Rs. 96.5 crore due to theaters shutting down in March). Before that, Tiger was involved in the biggest blockbuster of the year 2019 with Hrithik Roshan in "War" which hit the 300 crore club mark. ## Now, with riding on success in the past, the actor is set to take the action to the next level with his upcoming movies which are gonna release in 2021 and 2022. The makers of the upcoming 1971 war drama movie, Pippa on Thursday have announced the much-awaited star cast which includes Ishaan Khatter, Mrunal Thakur, Priyanshu Painyuli, and Soni Razdan in the prominant roles. ## The movie will be directed by Raja Krishna Menon who best known for directing Akshay Kumar starrer, Airlift while Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur will produce it under their respective production banners, RSVP Movies, and Roy Kapur Films. ## Pippa is based on Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta's book "The Burning Chaffees". Ishaan Khatter will essay the role of Brigadier Mehta of the 45th Cavalry tank squadron in this movie. Based on the popular TV series, Nagin - the three-films series, is being described as a love story, will be bankrolled by Nikhil Dwivedi.## Shraddha Kapoor who was last seen in Tiger Shroff-led Baaghi 3 earlier this year, has expressed her delight to part of the film series and said that she always wanted to a play similar kind of role which late actress Sridevi had played in movies like Nagina and Nigahen. ## "It's an absolute delight for me to play a Naagin on screen. I have grown up watching, admiring, and idolising Sridevi ma'am's Nagina and Nigahen and always wanted to play a similar role rooted in Indian traditional folklore. The last time Shraddha Kapoor played a character with supernatural powers was in Raj & DK's hit horror-comedy Stree (2018). ## Director Vishal Furia is best known for his 2017 Marathi horror hit film Lapachhapi. He is currently helming Lapachhapi's Hindi remake titled Chhori starring Nushrat Bharucha in a prominent role.## Naagin is an Indian supernatural fantasy thriller television series produced by Ekta Kapoor and directed by Santram Varma, and Ranjan Kumar Singh. Currently, the fifth season of Nagin is airing on Colors TV.
