After more than one and a half months, the Sushant Singh Rajput death case has been transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation. The Central government has officially informed the Supreme Court of India today (August 5) that the Bihar government's recommendation for the CBI probe into the death of the actor has been accepted.## Yesterday, the Bihar government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has recommended the CBI probe after Sushant's father KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and also spoke to Nitish Kumar requesting him for the CBI investigation.## For a few weeks now, Sushant's fans and close ones had been asking the centre to transfer the case to the CBI for the fair investigation. Bihar Government Recommends CBI Probe In Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case

In a view of the big development in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, Bihar Government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has recommended the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe in the actor's death case. ## Earlier, Sushant's father KK Singh lodged an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty in Patna, Bihar. He also spoke to Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and requested him to order a CBI investigation into the actor's death case. Now, Bihar Government has decided to entrust the FIR lodged by Rajput's father for a probe to CBI alleging that Mumbai police did not cooperate with Bihar police in the probe. ## "The DGP spoke to Sushant Singh Rajput's father this morning and he gave consent for CBI inquiry. So now, we are recommending CBI probe in the matter", said Bihar CM Nitish Kumar to ANI.## Meanwhile, the Maharashtra government is not in favor of Sushant's case handed to CBI. Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh on Sunday (August 2) had condemned for a CBI investigation into the actor's death case. He shared on social media that the onus will be on Mumbai Police to solve the case despite an FIR lodged by Patna Police. ## "@MumbaiPolice already began investigating allegations about @itsSSR's unfortunate alleged suicide. Even if Bihar Police registered an offence in Patna, under Ch. 12 & 13 of the #CrPC it has to be investigated, inquired and tried by police and courts within whose jurisdiction...," Anil Deshmukh said in a tweet.## "...the offence is committed. I condemn the demand for the @itsSSR case to be handed to #CBI. Bihar Police that is investigating actor Sushant Singh Rajput death case along with the Mumbai Police has alleged that Mumbai Police is not supporting their investigation as they haven't yet received even the basic documents related to Sushant's case. ## Ever since Sushant's untimely demise, Mumbai Police has been investigating the high profile death case but recently, Bihar Police also get involved after an FIR was filed against Rhea Chakraborty and five other by Sushant's father KK Singh in Patna on July 28. ## Soon after Bihar Police started their investigation, there were some reports that Mumbai Police isn't cooperating with them. Now, according to a report by ANI, Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey has said that they haven't yet received even the basic documents related to the case including the information collected by Mumbai Police.## He also said that they don't have the post-mortem report of Sushant's death along with the CCTV footage of his apartment where he was found dead on June 14. ## Earlier, Bihar Police interrogated Bollywood director Rumy Jafry, who was all set to team up with Sushant Singh Rajput and Rhea Chakraborty for a romantic-comedy film.
