Directed by Ashwin Kumar, it has already become the highest-grossing animated Indian film of all time, beating 2005's Hanuman. ## After the very good opening weekend collection of 19 crores gross, followed by excellent hold on Monday, Mahavatar Narsimha jumped further on discounted Tuesday. With +20% growth, the film grossed approximately 9+ crores on its first Tuesday, and it was the second biggest grosser for the day in India. ## The total collection of Mahavatar Narsimha is approximately 35.25 crores gross (29.50 crores net) after 5 days, and it is heading towards 50 crores gross first week collection at the domestic box office, which is a massive milestone for the film, as no one saw it coming for the release date. ## Hindi Version Leads The Way, Followed By Telugu ## The Hindi version has been the major driving force behind the film's success. After collecting around 15.40 crore net (18.50 crore gross) over the first four days, the movie scored an estimated 5.50 crore net (6.50 crore gross) on Tuesday. This pushes the Hindi version's total to 20.50+ crore net and over 24.50 crore gross in 5 days. Mumbai, July 29 - Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is shaking up the Indian film distribution landscape with a historical move for his box office hit Sitaare Zameen Par. Although Aamir had already shared his plans regarding the future of his films, today, he confirmed the same. ## On Tuesday (July 29), the Dangal star announced that Sitaare Zameen Par will be released exclusively on YouTube Movies-on-Demand starting August 1. It will be available for rent at ₹100 ($1.15) in India and 38 international markets, including the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, Germany, and Indonesia, with localised pricing for each territory. ## Aamir Khan told Variety that his long dream has been to make films available to almost every household in the country, as the people who watch movies in theatres are only 2-3% of the total population. He believes that subscription models are not economically viable for films to do that, not over a long-term period, hence he is favouring YouTube's pay-per-view model. ## This is a major move regarding the film's post-theatrical distribution, which could make streaming platforms uncomfortable. To take this approach, Aamir Khan reportedly rejected the offer of 120 crores from a leading streaming platform to sell the post-theatrical rights. ## Aamir Khan said, "If a family of four sits and watches the film, then it comes to ₹25 per head, which I think is a value that works not just for the audiences, but also allows filmmakers to earn so they can make better content."## Directed by RS Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan Films, Sitaare Zameen Par is a spiritual successor to Khan's 2007 film Taare Zameen Par, and also stars Genelia Deshmukh. The film earned approximately 2.10 crore gross on Friday, followed by a staggering +160% jump on Saturday with collections of around 5.50 crore gross. ## Sunday saw another massive surge, with early estimates suggesting collections in the range of 10.75–11.50 crore gross (9.25–9.75 crore net). Directed by Ayan Mukerji, it is the sixth film in YRF's Spy Universe. ## War 2 is said to be the most ambitious film in Spy Verse. The movie has been generating buzz about its grandeur, as the makers have reportedly crafted six unique action sequences to take the audience on a thrilling ride. The big scale, however, comes with a high cost, and War 2 is no different. ## According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, War 2 is made on a budget of 400 crores, which makes it the costliest Spy film in India, surpassing the budget of Salman Khan's Tiger 3 (350 crores) and Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan (325 crores). Early estimates for Sunday suggest a 30–35 crore gross, which would take its second weekend domestic gross to an estimated 85+ crores (70+ crores net). ## In overseas markets, the film is expected to rake in another 28–30 crores over the weekend, taking the total second weekend worldwide gross to an estimated 115 crores — an extraordinary figure. It is a one-horse race at the moment, with not much challenge at the box office from new movies in India. ## By the end of its second weekend, Saiyaara is set to hit approximately 365 crores gross worldwide.
