Mumbai, July 26 - Director Ashwin Kumar's animated epic action drama Mahavatar Narsimha might have opened the door for Indian animation with a good opening at the domestic box office. Produced by Kaleem Productions in association with Hombale Films, is movie is based on the 4th avatar of Lord Vishnu. ## Mahavatar Narsimha Scored 2+ Crore Gross Opening Day In India ## Mahavatar Narsimha was released in 2D and 3D formats on July 25 amid low buzz and intense competition, but it surprised one and all with its first-day box office collection. The animated film grossed approximately 2-2.15 crores in all versions (including 3D charges), which is a fantastic opening. ## The Hindi version of the film did very well with approximately 1.50-1.60 crores gross (with 3D charges), followed by the Telugu version, in which the movie grossed around 40 lakh, while the rest of the versions minted 10 lakh approx. ## Strong Bookings For Mahavatar Narsimha On Day 2 ## If the day 1 collection of the film surprised everyone, get ready to be shocked by its second-day collection. The film is selling 12K tickets per hour, which is almost double that of Pawan Kalyan's biggie Hari Hara Veera Mallu, on Book My Show.
