Mumbai, September 2 - The re-release factor has been working well at the box office for the classic Bollywood hits for the last few months. After Rockstar and Laila Majnu, it's now turn for R. Madhavan, Dia Mirza, and Saif Ali Khan-led love story Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein which is turning out to be a success story at the box office. ## Directed by Gautham Menon, RHTDM was re-released on August 30 and did well at the box office, grossing approximately 1.20 crore (1 crore net) in its opening weekend. It scored approximately 20 lakh gross on its first day (Friday), before jumping by over 100% for approx. 45 lakh on Saturday and another 60 lakh gross on Sunday.## It now needs to see how the fair during the weekdays, which will determine how far it will go at the box office. The last couple of Bollywood re-releases did well beyond opening weekends and since RHTDM has been a popular film over the years on television, there is a chance it will repeat the success of those movies to reach a respectable total. ## RHTDM, which is a remake of the popular Tamil film Minnell, was originally released in 2001 and did decently at the box office with a worldwide gross collection of over 10 crores. 'Stree 2' Beats 'Fighter' To Become Highest-Grossing Bollywood Movie of 2024 At The Overseas Box Office

Mumbai, September 1 - Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted mega-blockbuster Stree 2 has become the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2024 at the overseas box office, after beating Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's Fighter. ## The horror-comedy, directed by Amar Kaushik, has grossed an estimated 110 crores internationally in 17 days so far, surpassing the lifetime overseas total of Fighter's 104 crores. These two are the only Bollywood films of the year to cross the 100-crore mark outside India. ## Among the Indian films of the year, Stree 2 is behind only Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD (275 crores approx.) at the overseas box office. Kalki is a multilingual release and it grossed over 50 crores in Hindi internationally. ## Produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, Stree 2 is nearing 700 crores mark at the worldwide box office. After the third Saturday (17th day), it grossed approximately 657 crores, including 547 crores (458 crores net) in India. Hyderabad, August 31 - Telugu superstar Allu Arjun's action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule post-theatrical streaming deal has officially been locked in all languages.## As reported earlier, Netflix has bought the streaming rights of this highly-anticipated blockbuster in all languages. According to the latest reliable Telugu media reports, the streamer has paid a whopping 270 crores to acquire the post-theatrical rights of the movie. ## Earlier, there were reports that the makers were quoting 250-300 crores price for the streaming rights and now, it has finally been locked in the middle of it. This is said to be the biggest-ever single streaming deal for an Indian movie across all languages. ## Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, Pushpa 2 is the continuation of the superhit Pushpa - The Rise which was released in 2021. The Hindi version of the movie was a big success and Pushpa 2 is expected to be among the biggest box office grossers in Hindi.## Allu Arjun plays the titular role in the movie which also stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead and Fahadh Faasil as the antagonist. Mumbai, August 31 - Critically acclaimed folk horror thriller Tumbbad is making its way back to the big screen this September. ## The film, directed by Rahi Anil Barve, is set to be re-released on September 13. It was supposed to get re-issued on August 30 but has been pushed back by 2 weeks. The makers announced the re-release date on Saturday with a new poster. ## The poster features the film's protagonist, Vinayak Rao (played by Sohum Shah), leading his young son Pandurang (played by Mohammad Samad) through the night with a lantern, with an atmosphere of supernatural elements of their journey. ## The film, written by Mitesh Shah, Prasad, Barve, and Gandhi, and produced by Sohum Shah, Aanand L. Rai, Mukesh Shah, and Amita Shah, tells the story of Rao's descent into greed as he hunts for a mythical treasure guarded by a malevolent entity named Hastar.## Tumbbad was originally released in October 2018 and it was hailed as the finest folk horror movie of Indian cinema. Hyderabad, August 30 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, has been a massive box office success and the way it concluded has increased the excitement for its sequel to the next level, however, there is a catch. ## While the buzz around Kalki 2 is at an all-time high, the producers have confirmed that the movie won't be hitting the big screens until 2028. ## Producers and sister duo Priyanka Dutt and Swapna Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies were present at the screening of Kalki 2898 AD at the Moscow Film Festival where they said that the filming of Kalki 2 will start in the next five or six months, around January or February 2025. (via News18). ## Kalki 2898 AD was shot in a lengthy period of 3 years and unconfirmed reports have said that the sequel will take another 3 years before it gets ready to hit the screens. This means Kalki 2 will be released in 2028, and producer Priyanka Dutt said that they will be able to talk more about it once it starts.## As reported earlier and hinted at in the climax of the first part, Kalki 2 will focus on Yaskin's character (played by Kamal Haasan), the antagonist of the franchise, as he embarks on his perilous mission.
