Mumbai, August 20 - Mega blockbuster Gadar 2 scored a sensational second weekend at the domestic box office, showing a drop of just around 30% from the first weekend. The second-weekend hold for the movie is nothing short of extraordinary considering the first weekend itself was massive.## The Anil Sharma's directorial movie scored an estimated around 40 crores net on its second Sunday, showing a massive jump of around 30% from Saturday. The jump over the second weekend is massive, especially on Saturday and Sunday where collection nearly jumped by 1.5x from the previous day which is phenomenal.## The second Sunday estimates of the movie take the total collection to around 377 crores, which makes it the 4th highest net-earning movie in Hindi of all time, beating Aamir Khan's Dangal which scored 374 crores net in Hindi languages. The second-weekend collection of Gadar 2 is around 91 crores, which is the highest second weekend of all time by a huge margin.## Gadar 2 will go past 400 crores net mark by the second Tuesday or Wednesday and it will be crossing KGF: Chapter 2 in the third weekend to become the third biggest Hindi movie of all time, behind Pathaan and Baahubali 2. Mumbai, August 20 - OMG 2 has a very good second weekend, dropping just around 30% from the first weekend which is a fantastic hold. The movie scored a jump of around 20% on its second Sunday from the second Saturday collection. ## The early estimate suggests a second Sunday/10th-day collection of OMG 2 around 12.50-13 crores net which takes the total collection to over 114 crores net. The second-weekend collection is over 29 crores net which is one of the highest for a mid-budget Bollywood movie this year.## OMG 2 has been excellent in multiplex chains as the majority of its collection has come through those chains while smaller centers continue to remain low due to the domination of Gadar 2. The low performances in single screens have reduced OMG 2 to around its current total otherwise it could have easily around 150 crores net by now. A solo release would have done that for it.## The movie is the first 100 crores net scorer for director Amit Rai as well as Pankaj Tripathi who plays the center role in the movie. It surpassed the lifetime collection of 2022's blockbuster "Ponniyin Selvan - 1" (488 crores) on its 11th day. ## "Jailer" has been running riot at the box office since its debut on August 10, and till its second Sunday (11 days), it grossed approximately 507.50 crores worldwide, including 329.50 crores at the domestic box office, and 178 crores overseas collection.## The movie, with its second Sunday collection, has surpassed the 500 crores gross mark, becoming only the second Tamil and sixth South Indian film of all time to achieve this rare milestone. Kochi, August 20 - Malayalam superstar Mohanlal finally has confirmed the release date of his long-awaited fantasy "Barroz". The film is directed by Mohanlal who is also playing the main role in the movie that is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. ## "Barroz", which is based on Jijo Punnoose's novel Barroz: Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure, will be hitting worldwide cinemas on December 21, 2023, during the Christmas week. The movie will reportedly be released in over 60 countries. ## The story of Barroz revolves around a 400-year-old spirit who is assigned to guard D'Gama's treasure which can be handed over to D'Gama's true descendant. Hyderabad, August 20 - Veteran Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna is flying high with back-to-back box office success. While the actor's "Akhanda" (2021) became his first 100 crores worldwide grosser, his "Veera Simha Reddy" topped it earlier this year and emerge NBK's biggest grosser yet.## Nandamuri Balakrishna is now gearing up for his next blockbuster, titled "Bhagavanth Kesari". Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the action comedy-drama is one of the most-anticipated Telugu movies of the year. The movie is expected to continue the winning streak for the actor, and considering the hype around it, the makers have been able to fetch record pre-release theatrical business for the same.## According to Telugu media reports, the Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) theatrical rights have been sold at approx. 62 crores. Renowned producer Dil Raju is said to have bought Nizam area rights for approx. 14 crores while Ceded area rights are reportedly sold to Abhishek Reddy for approx. 12.50 crores. ## Overall, the worldwide theatrical business of the movie is said to be locked at around 72 crores which is in the same range as "Veera Simha Reddy". The jump today is at least 75% and can go up to 85% depending on the performance of the smaller centers.## The early estimates suggest a second Saturday collection of OMG 2 around 10.50-11 crores net and can go higher which remains to see. This takes the total collection to over 101.50 crores net in just 9 days, becoming the first Akshay Kumar-starrer since "Sooryavanshi" to enter the 100 crores net club.## The second weekend of OMG 2 is eyeing around 28-30 crores net which will be a fantastic hold with a drop of just 40% from the opening weekend. It is currently 6th highest-grossing Hindi film of 2023 in India, behind Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar" which grossed 175 crores in March this year.## At the overseas box office, "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani" is sensational and has turned into a blockbuster success. The Rengkai (Lamka) screening of the movie saw decent attendance. It was screened by the Hmar Students' Association (HSA). ## The national anthem was played at the outdoor theatre, which is located 63 kilometers from the capital city before the film started. Apart from "Ur", three more Hindi movies will be screened including, the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai".## "Uri", directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by RSVP Movies, is a fictionalized portrayal of the actual event of the response to the 2016 Uri attack. It has become only the second Bollywood movie of the year to hit the triple century mark after Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan".## Directed by Anil Sharma, "Gadar 2" scored 20.50 crores net on its second Friday/8th day which takes its total collection to 305.13 crores net. The 20.50 crores net collection is the biggest second Friday ever in the Hindi language, besting SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali 2" which minted 19.75 crores net. ## There have been a total of just 12 films in the Hindi language to enter 300 crores net club and "Gadar 2" is the second fastest among them to do so. It took just 8 days to get there, behind "Pathaan" which breached this milestone in just 7 days.
