Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' Key Details Revealed

Mumbai, June 22 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's highly-anticipated mass entertainer Jawan may have been postponed from June 2, but the excitement among the fans remains intact. The first-time combo of SRK and Tamil director Atlee has grabbed the eyeballs and the movie is expected to explode at the box office upon its release.## "Jawan" is one of the costliest films of Shah Rukh Khan as it has been shot on a massive scale and boasts a super solid star cast. It commenced filming in late 2021 and the entire shoot was recently wrapped up with a song. It has been shot in over 160 days and the reported budget is approx. 200-250 crores. ## The makers have been tight-lipped about the movie so far, but the latest reports have revealed some key details regarding the film. It is said that "Jawan" is a VFX-heavy film and is behind only SRK's "Ra.One". SRK's Red Chillies VFX company has done the CGI and the reports say it is going to be visually stunning. ## It is also said that Shah Rukh Khan will have a 5-minute-long monologue which is for the villain's role played by Vijay Sethupathi. Sunil Grover will be seen as an investigative officer in "Jawan", which is a full-on action entertainer. A Japanese action director is on board, as per the reports. ## Apart from the aforementioned details, the report also says that the movie has two songs along with an item number. ## "Jawan" is produced by SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment. It stars Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role with Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Riddhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, and Yogi Babu. Los Angeles, June 22 - Sony Pictures' animated comic-book superhero movie Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse is having a spectacular run at the box office, be it domestically or overseas as it has topped $500 million globally. ## The sequel to 2018's "Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse" has so far grossed $290.4 million in North America. It is the third highest-grossing of the year, behind Universal's "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" ($572 million) and Marvel/Disney's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" ($345 million). ## internationally, it has scored $215.9 million so far, which brings its worldwide tally to a mighty $506.3 million. It is the 4th biggest worldwide grosser after "Super Mario" ($1.3 billion), "GoTG3" ($822 million), and "Fast X" ($679 million). ## The movie opened at $208.6 million globally, including $120.5 million at the domestic box office. As reported earlier, the sequel has already crossed the entire collection of the first film's $384 million and became Sony Pictures' highest-grossing animated movie of all time. ## Outside of the domestic market (North America), the top-earning markets for the follow-up film include China with $42.4 million, the United Kingdom with $26 million, Mexico with $24 million, and Australia with $14 million. Mumbai, June 21 - The leading streaming platform, Netflix has made some major changes in its viewership metrics which resulted in some major shakeups in its top 10 most popular titles across categories. ## Netflix will now report in average viewership for its programming as "views", which is hours viewed divided by total runtime. The views will now decide Netflix's top 10 weekly and all-time titles though hours viewed will still be available. The streamer also has expanded the viewership measurement window from 28 days to 91 days. ## The new changes have made "Wednesday" Season 1 the most popular English show of all time on Netflix with 252.1 million views, overtaking "Stranger Things 4's" 140.7 million views. However, in terms of viewing hours, ST4 remains the most-watched English show with 1.83 billion viewing hours, followed by "Wednesday" with 1.71 billion viewing hours.## The global Korean blockbuster series "Squid Game" still remains Netflix's most popular series ever (English or Non-English), even after the shift. It scored 265.2 million views and 2.2 billion viewing hours in the first 91 days. It is the only Netflix series or film to top 2 billion viewing hours of all time. ## Among the most popular films (English or non-English), "Red Notice" remains on the top even after changes with 230.9 million views and 454.2 million viewing hours in 91 days. Among the non-English films, the Norwegian monster film "Troll" remains unchanged with 103 million views and 178.6 million views hours. ## Meanwhile, no Indian film or series features in Netflix's 10 lists even after changes. Mumbai, June 21 - Director Anand L Rai and actor Dhanush are teaming up again for the third time. It was ALR who successfully launched the Tamil star in Hindi with the love story film "Raanjhanaa" in 2013 before the duo reunited for "Atrangi Re" (2021) which also starred Akshay Kumar in an extended cameo. ## The duo is now reuniting for an action love story, titled Tere Ishk Mein, which is set to go on floors in November this year. It is said that ALR has been working on the script for some time now. Both the actor and director have had multiple meetings over the last few months.## On Wednesday (June 21), as Raanjhanaa celebrates its 10th anniversary, the makers announced the movie officially with the first look teaser which is looking impressive from word go and promises to be another blockbuster ride.## Anand L Rai took to Twitter to make the announcement and narrates to the audiences what they are going to witness. "Kuch kahaniyan kisi purane dost jaisi mil jaati hain! Jo haath nahin milaati, seedhe aake gale lag jaati hain. 10 saal pehle ek aisi hi kahani mili thi humein... Kundan ki kahani. Dost tha mera, par jee naa saka... uska mood nahi tha jeena ka!", he wrote. ## "Ab 10 saal baad phir ek kissa aaya hai; Kundan aur ye ladka ek se hi hain, bus iska mood duniya phoonk dene ka hai! Sirf aapke liye... 'Tere Ishk Mein'", the filmmaker added.## ## The movie is produced by Himanshu Sharma and written by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav. AR Rahman will score the music of the film. Apart from Dhanush, the makers are looking to cast an A-List actor to play the female lead and get a big ensemble on board the film. ## Meanwhile, Dhanush is currently shooting for the period action-adventure Tamil film "Captain Miller". It is set in the Madras Presidency of the 1930s and 40s. Dhanush will be sporting three different looks in the movie and the character will also have two more names. Mumbai, June 20 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's immediate next after much-awaited "Tiger 3" might be Tiger vs Pathaan with Shah Rukh Khan. The superstar has been listening to scripts for quite some time now but none of them are looking to start anytime soon. ## According to Pinkvilla, Salman is committed to shooting for "Tiger vs Pathaan" in the first quarter of 2024 with Shah Rukh Khan. It was previously revealed that before TvP, Salman would take up a new film to release either on Eid or Diwali next year. ## Director Vishnu Vardhan has narrated a story to the actor and he is keenly interested in it. But given the huge scale, the project needs at least 4-5 months of pre-production work. The report says that Vishnu Vardhan's film, which will be bankrolled by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, could be the follow-up to TvP. ## Apart from Vardhan's movie, Salman is awaiting a narration from his mentor, Sooraj Barjatya for "Prem Ki Shaadi". The script work on this film has been going on for quite some now and if it is ready by July this year, then there is a possibility of taking this on floors by the end of this year which was also the original plan.## Yash Raj Films' TvP is already getting a lot of attraction and is touted to be the biggest Indian action spectacle featuring two of the biggest stars in the country. The next phase of what we want to try and do is, we want to up the ante, we still want to make stories that are powerful, but if you have to go in theaters, we need to make them larger", said the producer to Variety. ## Apart from the aforementioned 15 films, Maddock Films also confirmed three visual spectacles. Part of that vision is Maddock's interpretation of "Arabian Nights", which is currently in development. First up will be "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves", followed by "Aladdin" and "Sinbad". Mumbai, June 19 - Bollywood filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari's next film Bawaal starring Varun Dhawan and Jahvi Kapoor has been confirmed to release directly on Amazon Prime Video after it was originally planned and hyped as a big-screen entertainer. ## Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala's banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment in collaboration with Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari's Earthsky Pictures, "Bawaal" will stream on Prime Video sometime in July this year, most likely on July 27. The movie is touted to be a love story set against the backdrop of war.## "Shot across three Indian locations and five European countries, 'Bawaal' has a captivating storyline, dramatic visuals, and absolutely amazing chemistry between the lead talent Varun and Jahnvi.
