Mumbai, June 19 - Maddock Films' decision to go with the traditional way is reaping rich rewards as its latest comedy-drama film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke has turned out to be a big box office success. ## At one point, this Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan-fronted movie was in the line of going direct-to-digital way, but better sense prevailed and now, as things stand today, it has grossed around 95 crores at the worldwide box office, including approx. 10 crores overseas, in 20 days.## The success of ZHZB has taken the trade by surprise as no one was ready to give it a chance to survive beyond the weekend. Due to its desi flavor, the movie met with positive word of mouth, plus no real competition helped it as it to gross over 80 crores worldwide in the first two weeks.## The first two weeks were the best chance for the movie to earn as much as it could. In its third week, ZHZB faced a mighty opponent in the form of Adipurush along with the Hollywood superhero movie The Flsh. ## Despite that, ZHZB remained strong and grossed over 6 crores in India in its third weekend to take its total collection close to 90 crores gross, including 80.60 crores domestic gross (68.31 cr. net). ZHZB is now looking to reach the possible 100 crores worldwide box office mark which was looking almost impossible earlier. ## The next big Bollywood release is Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani's Satyaprem Ki Katha on June 29, so ZHZB has another week to score. The yet-untitled movie has been co-written and directed by Amit Joshi & Aradhana Sah. ## Over the last few weeks, the rumors have been making rounds that the movie will opt for direct-to-digital release, but now, putting all the rumors to rest, the makers have confirmed the theatrical release of the film on December 7, 2023. Mumbai, June 18 - Warner Bros. and DC Studios superhero flick The Flash couldn't generate speed at the box office as it scored a low opening weekend worldwide, extending the DC Extended Universe's woes. ## Warner Bros. left no stone unturned to hype up "The Flash" as one of the greatest superhero movies of all time but the movie failed to live up to those sky-high expectations. It grossed just $55 million over a 3-day opening weekend domestically (North America). ## "The Flash" opened lower than Dwayne Johnson's "Black Adam" ($67 million) late last year, making it one of the worst openings for a DCEU movie. It even opened below studios' already conservative $70M-$75M 3-day expectations.## At the international box office, "The Flash" scored $75 million over 68 markets for a $130 million global start. China was the biggest overseas market for the film with $13.8 million, followed by Mexico and the UK with $9.4 million and $5.3 million, respectively. ## Meanwhile, in India, the Ezra Miller-fronted flick grossed around 20.50 crores ($2.5 million) over a 4-day opening weekend in all languages. Mumbai, June 18 - Prabhas-fronted Adipurush scored a humongous opening weekend at the Hindi box office. The movie, despite the negativity, remained rock solid over the weekend to hit the second-biggest opening weekend in Hindi in 2023. ## After collection approx. 74.25 crores in the first 2 days, Adipurush is witnessing a jump of around 5-10% on its first Sunday as early estimates suggest around 38-39 crores net collection. It showed a drop in the night shows but still is collected superbly throughout the day to push the total collection to around 114 crores in Hindi, which is an excellent result by any means. ## The movie has seen a jump in collections at both mass and multiplex centers today which resulted in a decent jump. The opening weekend performance of Adipurush in Hindi has exceeded expectations as pre-release projections were around 75 crores net. ## Adipurush opened with mixed word of mouth but the Ramayana factor has played a vital role in its performance in Hindi. It will now be interesting to see how it performs from tomorrow onwards which will give an idea about when it can finish its run. ## Meanwhile, the movie is likely to have crossed the 300 crores gross mark at the global box office in the opening weekend itself. Los Angeles, June 18 - Sony Pictures' animated superhero movie Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse has turned out to be a huge blockbuster for the studio and has already surpassed the entire worldwide box office collection of the first film. ## The latest sequel has so far grossed over $426 million at the global box office, much ahead of "Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse" which grossed $384 million in its entire run in 2018. "Spider-Verse 2" crossed the first movie's domestic (North America) total of $190 million in just 9 days and global total in just 12 days. ## "Across The Spider-Verse" has so far grossed $261 million domestically and $165 million overseas in 16 days for $426 million worldwide total. It is now the highest-grossing animated movie for Sony Pictures at the global box office. ## The movie is benefitting from strong word-of-mouth and goodwill for the original, which introduced audiences to this universe's Spider-Man, known as Miles Morales, and brought the concept of a cinematic multiverse to the masses. Premium large formats, including Imax, have also been important in boosting the film's grosses.## Outside North America, the top-grossing market for "Spider-Verse 2" is China with a $40 million gross collection so far. London, June 17 - Blockbuster Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, who is gearing up for the release of his directorial return "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani", will be honored at the British parliament for his contribution to the global entertainment industry, according to Variety.## Karan, who has produced and directed some of the classic Bollywood blockbusters over the years, will be honored in the presence of Lords and members of parliament on June 20 at the Palace of Westminster, where both the House of Commons and the House of Lords, the two houses of the U.K. parliament, are located.## The filmmaker has a special bond with the UK as he has filmed many of his productions (Dharma Productions) such as "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai", "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham" and "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" across the country. ## That's not all, Johar's films have also performed well at the UK box office, including K3G and "My Name Is Khan" which became the highest-grossing Indian films at the U.K. box office upon their releases. Box Office: Adipurush Emerges Biggest Bollywood Opener of All-Time

Mumbai, June 17 - Pan India superstar Prabhas's magnum opus Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, was in the full flow of its opening day at the domestic as well as overseas box office.## "Adipurush", which is technically a Bollywood production, becomes the first Bollywood movie of all time to gross over 100 crores at the domestic box office in all versions. It has beaten the opening day record of Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" (68 crores) which was released in January this year. ## The movie grossed a solid approx. 102.50 crores at the domestic box office. The Telugu version led the charge with approx. 56.50 crores gross, followed by the Hindi version which accounted for approx. 44 crores gross collection. The versions remained low on the opening day and collected approx. 2 crores gross. The Hindi net collection of 37.25 crores of "Adipurush" is the 9th highest of all-time, ahead of "Sultan" and behind "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo".## At the overseas box office, "Adipurush" scored around 25 crores, pushing the total worldwide collection of the movie to 126 crores, which is the highest for Bollywood and 5th highest for an Indian movie after "RRR", "Baahubali 2", "KGF 2" and "Saaho". "Pathaan" grossed 105 crores worldwide on the opening day. ## Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster "RRR", which was released last year, remains the biggest Indian opener of all time with 223 crores gross. It is also the biggest opener domestically with 156 crores gross. The second-best worldwide opener is again SSR's "Baahubali 2" which starred Prabhas in the lead. According to Mirchi9, the romantic family drama film has been titled "Family Star". A new title "Kutumba Rao" is also in consideration, however, the chances for the same are low. ## The report further revealed that "Family Star" is aiming for Sankranthi 2024 release to cater to family audiences. Los Angeles, June 17 - DC Studios' one of the most hyped superhero movies of the recent past, DC Extended Universe's (DCEU) The Flash might have a short life at the box office after failing to grab audiences' attention to the level makers were hoping for. ## Over the last few months, the makers have been hyping "The Flash" as one of the greatest superhero movies of all time, however, when it comes to the audiences, it has shockingly received a low "B" CinemaScore which might badly hamper its box office potentials. ## "The Flash" B CinemaScore is on par with Zack Snyder's DCEU movie "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" (2016) which ended its domestic (North America) lifetime gross total at $330 million after taking the biggest opening for a DCEU movie of $166 million. ## As far as the domestic opening weekend of "The Flash" is concerned, trade is projecting a $60 million gross collection which is underwhelming. Sony Pictures Revealed The Release Date of Tom Holland's 'Spider-Man 4'?

Los Angeles, June 16 - Sony Pictures has reportedly revealed the arrival date of Tom Holland-led Spider-Man 4. Since the release of "Spider-Man: No Way Home" (2021), fans are awaiting the return of Holland's web-slinger after the studio confirmed the development of, at least, one more film. ## Tom Holland recently revealed that they were working on the script but it had to stop due to the Writer's Guild of America (WGA) strike. Now, according to Deadline, Sony has set release dates for two untitled Marvel movies, November 8, 2024, and June 27, 2025. ## It is reported that Sony is planning to release "Venom 3" in October 2024, making it very likely the symbiote flick will take the November 2024 date. The second date, however, can't be confirmed as to which film it is associated with, reports say it is "Spider-Man 4". ## With the 4th installment of the Tom Holland-led franchise now in the works at Sony and Marvel Studios - although development was recently put on hold - it's very likely the Tom Holland movie will take the June 27, 2025, release date.## "Spider-Man 4" is already in the scripting stage as Tom Holland hyped it recently saying, it is "looking pretty good" with "some stuff going on" that he's "excited about". The work will resume once the strike is over and then, we might get the official confirmation about the release date soon. ## Meanwhile, the last Spider-Man movie, "No Way Home" was a huge blockbuster and grossed over $1.90 billion at the global box office and was the highest-grossing film of 2021.
