Mumbai, May 11 - Alia Bhatt's box office hit, "Gangubai Kathiawadi" remained the most-watched Indian movie on Netflix for the second week in a row, becoming a big hit on the streamer. ## The biographical drama film, after debuting at number 1 worldwide with 13.8 million viewing hours on Netflix in the first week, continued to be in the top 3 in the second week as well with 8.3 million viewing hours. The movie has now clocked a whopping 22.1 million viewing hours in just 13 days (April 26 - May 8). ## Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, "Gangubai Kathiawadi" was released in theaters on February 25 and became a box office hit by grossing approx. 190 crores worldwide. It completed 8 weeks in theaters before it was made available on Netflix on April 26. It is currently trending in the top 10 in 20 countries.## Meanwhile, Prabhas-fronted "Radhe Shyam" Hindi version has debuted in the top 10 on Netflix with 3.6 million viewing hours in 6 days. The teaser finished its first 24-hour online window with a massive 148.6 million views, according to Disney and 20th Century (via THR). The viewing numbers include 23 million from China alone. ## The 148.6 million views on YouTube and across social media don't include the millions of people watching the teaser on the big screen with the Marvel movie. The online viewing numbers of "Avatar 2" are incredible knowing the fact millions have watched it on the big screen and many more people want it to watch in theaters first. ## The massive views count of "Avatar 2" is ahead of all recent Star Wars films, including "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" (112.4 million). Hyderabad, May 10 - Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, who has produced the upcoming Pan-India movie "Major", revealed that he turned down big offers for direct-to-ott release of the movie to save it for the theatrical release. ## "Major", fronted by Adivi Sesh, is turning out to be a much-awaited movie after the launch of the trailer yesterday. Based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, an army officer who was killed in the 2008 Mumbai attacks, the movie also stars Saiee Manjrekar, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prakash Raj, Revathi, and Murali Sharma in prominent roles. ## Mahesh Babu, who believed that Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan's story must be known to the world, stated that the martyr's story is larger than life. ## During the trailer launch event in Hyderabad yesterday, Mahesh Babu revealed that he received lucrative OTT offers during the Covid period, but was adamant that the movie needed to be released in theatres only because the action design and emotions were larger than life.## "Major" has been shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu while it will also be released in dubbed Malayalam version.
