Directed by Taika Waititi, the superhero movie marks the return of Natalie Portman to the MCU and she is more powerful than ever. ## Set after the events of "Avengers: Endgame", the teaser begins with Chris Hemsworth aka Thor on a quest for self-discovery. The movie has been in the news for a long time now and it is finally ready to begin filming this month itself. ## According to reports, the movie is likely to be launched officially on April 21st with Muhurtham while the regular shoot is expected to begin on April 23. Chennai, April 18 - While Prashanth Neel-directed "KGF Chapter 2" is stealing the show, one more recently released movie that found a place in the hearts of the audiences is Thalapathy Vijay's "Beast". It has become the highest-grossing Tamil movie of 2022, beating Ajith Kumar's "Valimai" at the worldwide box office. ## Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, "Beast" was released on April 13 on Wednesday. Despite getting mixed reviews and facing tough competition with "KGF 2", the action thriller scored approx. 185 crores gross at the worldwide box office in the first five days. "Valimai" did the gross business approx. 165 crores. ## "Beast", at the domestic box office, has grossed 130.60 crores. It also crossed the 100 crores net mark in the original Tamil version and currently stands at 102.25 crores. The other versions, including Telugu and Hindi, contributed approx. 10 crores net during the 5-days long weekend. Los Angeles, April 18 - The last few weeks have been phenomenal for the Indian movies at the North American box office. SS Rajamouli's period action drama film "RRR", stormed the USA box office by collecting $14+ million (107 crores) so far. And now, Kannada biggie, "KGF Chapter 2" is scoring massive numbers. ## The Yash-fronted sequel of the 2018's all-time Kannada blockbuster KGF Chapter 1, debuted at the North American box office through premieres on Wednesday. From the premieres alone, it minted about $1.7 million while the weekend score reaches $4.6 million (35.13 crores) for all languages. It stormed into the North American top 10 movies this past weekend and was the 9th biggest movie on the list.## The word of mouth for KGF Chapter 2 is super strong among the North American audiences and is on par with RRR. The movie is expected to grow further and is likely to reach $10+ million by the end of next weekend, which will be a great result for the makers. The Indian film fraternity would be thankful to the makers as "RRR" was released at a time when Indian cinema needed a big hit to be back on its strong feat after getting a massive jolt because of the covid-19 pandemic. ## The film, starring Jr. NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, and Ajay Devgn, has grossed over 1050 crores worldwide so far and in doing so, it broked several existed box office records domestically and overseas. Dangal is at number 1 with 2122.3 crores, followed by BB2 with 1788.06 crores at number 2. ## THIRD HIGHEST-GROSSING INDIAN MOVIE AT THE OVERSEAS BOX OFFICE (WITHOUT CHINA)## Excluding the China box office, RRR is the third highest-grossing Indian movie at the overseas box office. It reached this figure in 23 days on the 4th Saturday and also becomes one of the fastest to get there. ## The Jr. NTR/Ram Charan-starrer movie minted 3.30 crores net on the 4th Saturday and takes the Hindi net cume to 250.09 crores. It will outscore "The Kashmir Files" today to become the 13th biggest Hindi movie at the domestic box office. "RRR" is likely to finish its lifetime run between 255-265 crores in Hindi. ## Backed by Pen Studios in Hindi, "RRR" marked the third film of SS Rajamouli in Hindi and it becomes his 2nd consecutive film to cross the 250 crores mark. Los Angeles, April 16 - The ongoing legal battle between "Pirates of the Caribbean" star Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard has taken an interesting turn as Heard's former assistant Kate James has alleged that Heard's claims of physical abuse at the hands of Depp are false. ## Amber Heard is being sued by Johnny Depp, for $50 million, on allegations that she defamed him by describing herself as a "figure representing domestic violence" in a 2018 op-ed in the 'Washington Post'. ## Heard responded to the lawsuit by countersuing Depp and alleging that he physically assaulted her on 10 occasions throughout their relationship. The couple parted ways in 2016, after Heard filed for a protective order in court, with what appeared to be a bruise on her face.## In a prerecorded video presented by Depp's attorneys to the jurors, Kate James, who worked for Heard from 2012 to 2015, argued that she never witnessed Depp and Heard getting into verbal or physical altercations, nor did she notice any evidence of domestic violence during her regular visits to the couple's respective homes.## However, she said Heard did contact her in distress after arriving back at their home in Los Angeles after a private flight with Depp in May 2014. For the said incident, Heard alleged in court filings that Depp kicked her and threw objects at her on the flight because he was upset about a romantic scene she had filmed the day prior with James Franco.## Kate also recalled that he received humiliation from the "Aquaman" actress when she asked for an increased salary.
