'Brahmastra - Part 1' Love Poster Features Ranbir Kapoor And Alia Bhatt

Mumbai, April 10 - Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji recently wrapped up the shoot of his highly anticipated superhero movie, titled "Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva". It has been the filmmaker's dream project and he is leaving no stone unturned to make it a memorable one. The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy in prominent roles. ## On the occasion of Ram Navmi on April 10, Ayan Mukerji shared a new poster from the film, featuring Ranbir and Alia as Shiva and Isha. The love poster also gives a glimpse of the soulful song 'Kesariya' by Arijit Singh from the movie. On the backside of the poster, both Ranbir as Shiva and Alia as Isha can be seen fighting with monsters. ## Sharing the poster and the song, Ayan explained the title of the first film from the trilogy- "Love is the Light! Hyderabad, April 9 - The Indian cinema needed SS Rajamouli (again) to give it the first 1000 crores worldwide grosser since his all-time blockbuster "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion". "RRR", a period action drama film full of cinematic brilliance, has become the 3rd Indian movie to go past the 10 Billion mark at the worldwide box office. ## Starring two of Telugu cinema's biggest superstars, Jr. NTR and Ram Charan alongside the cameos from Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt, "RRR", unlike "Baahubali 2" and "Dangal", reached the landmark box office figure during the covid-19 pandemic and it took just 16 days to get there. This makes this film stand apart from the rest of the other two titles. ## Apart from topping 1000 crores worldwide gross, "RRR" has crossed the 800 crores gross mark at the domestic box office, becoming only the second film after "Baahubali 2" to reach there. "RRR" has also become the first-ever movie to score 400 crores net in Telugu. BB2 is the second biggest Telugu movie with 338 crores net.## Meanwhile, in another record-breaking performance, "RRR" has crossed 100 crores gross at the USA box office. It has become a global hit and outgrossed all other movies except "No Time to Die" ($774 million), China's "The Battle of Lake Changjin" ($905 million), and "Spider-Man: No Way Home" ($1.89 billion) during the health crisis. ## "The Batman" is expected to outscore James Bond "No Time To Die" to become the 3rd biggest grosser during the said time. Los Angeles, April 9 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has banned actor Will Smith for 10 years from returning to the Oscars or attending any other Academy events. The decision has been taken 12 days after the first time Oscar winner slapped Chris Rock during the 94th Academy Awards ceremony over a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith. ## However, despite the ban, Smith will retain the Oscar that he won in the Best Actor category for "King Richard", and will be eligible for future Oscar nominations and wins. ## The Academy's 54-person board of governors held a special meeting on Friday to determine what action to take against Smith. The actor was heavily criticized by Hollywood celebrities for his conduct during the ceremony and some even called for him to lose the Oscar statuette that he was awarded and/or his eligibility for future Oscars. ## Smith's suspension was expected even though he announced that he was resigning as a member of the organization a week ago. Hyderabad, April 8 - Pan India star Prabhas has reportedly compensated the distributors for their loss accrued due to the disastrous box office performance of "Radhe Shyam". ## Prabhas is one of the biggest names in Indian cinema and easily the most bankable star in the country. However, the actor's recently released period romantic drama film, "Radhe Shyam" failed to meet box office expectations which caused huge losses to the distributors. ## Known for his kindness, Prabhas reportedly took the initiative of compensating the investors and returned part of his remuneration to them. Made on a budget of around 300 crores, "Radhe Shyam" could only generate approx. 160 crores worldwide and was declared a disaster at the box office. ## The post-theatrical streaming rights of this Radha Krishna Kumar-directed were sold to Amazon Prime Video. The producers fetched a whopping amount of Rs 200 crores just from the satellite and digital rights which helped them to recover the cost. It was made available on Prime Video only after 21 days of theatrical release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Mumbai, April 8 - The fictional friendship saga between two real-life Indian freedom fighters in the 1920s, "RRR" is going great guns at the box office, bringing joy among the audiences and exhibitors. The movie has completed two weeks at the box office and it has scored approx. 975 crores gross worldwide. ## The SS Rajamouli-directed period action drama film will become only the 3rd Indian movie to gross 1000 crores worldwide and the target will be archived by the 3rd Saturday. At the domestic box office, "RRR" has grossed approx. 790 crores in two weeks, including 245 crores in the dubbed Hindi version. ## The Hindi version of the film was always going to be very important for the makers as it involved high stakes. The movie has also delivered big time and emerged as a super hit by collection 208.59 crores net in two weeks. In the second week, "RRR" minted 76 crores, dropping just 42.70% from the opening week of 132.59 crores.## Talking about the all-time highest second week grossing Hindi movies, the Jr. NTR/Ram Charan-fronted epic takes the 10th spot on the list, dethroning "Padmaavat" (69.5 Cr.) from the position.
