Akshay Kumar's 'Atrangi Re' Title Was First Registered With Salman Khan Productions, Reveals Anand L Rai
Mumbai, December 4 - Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, and Dhanush-starrer "Antrangi Re" is all set to premiere directly on Disney Plus Hostar on December 24. The movie was supposed to release in theaters but due to the second covid-19 wave and overcrowded theatrical releases, the makers thought of releasing the film on OTT will be a good result for the film. ## The title of the film, "Atrangi Re" has been attracting viewers, and now, director Anand L Rai reveals that he was lucky to get the title. In a recent conversation with ETimes, Rai revealed that the "Atrangi Re" title was already registered with Salman Khan Productions but he gave it to him on one condition. ## "Salman Bhai had the title registered to his production house but he gave it to me on one condition. He told his associates to give the title rights only if I direct the film, otherwise, they wouldn't have let it go". ## Rai also recalled, "There's an interesting story about the time when I went to the film association to get both the titles. I did not get 'Atrangi Re' but when I asked for the title of 'Raksha Bandhan', forget having attempted a story on the subject, nobody had even registered the title".## "Atrangi Re" has been written by Himanshu Sharma and the musical maestro AR Rahman has composed the album for the film with songs penned by Irshad Kamil. It is produced by T-Series, Colour Yellow Productions, and Cape of Good Films.## Stay tuned...
