A Perfect Opportunity For Director R. Balki To Score A Hit With Psychological Thriller 'Chup'

Mumbai, September 21 - Director R. Balki's next directorial Chup: Revenge of the Artist is creating curiosity among the audience, thanks to the very good trailer and special screenings for the fans. The psychological thriller stars Sunny Deol, Dulquer Salmaan, Shreya Dhanwanthary, and Pooja Bhatt in leading roles. ## "Chup" received rave reviews from the audience screenings, which were held across the country on September 20 where it has been hailed as one of the best thrillers from Bollywood. Mumbai, August 25 - Director R Balki has finalized the release date of Sunny Deol and Dulquer Salmaan's Chup: Revenge of the Artist. The psychological thriller film that also stars Shreya Dhanwanthary and Pooja Bhatt as the female leads will be released worldwide on September 23, 2022. ## Billed as an homage to master filmmaker Guru Dutt and his 1959 classic "Kaagaz Ke Phool", - "Chup" is produced by Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Anil Naidu, Dr. Jayantilal Gada (PEN Studios), and Gauri Shinde. The all-India distributing partner is Pen Marudhar. ## Meanwhile, the film also marks legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan's debut as a music composer. Amitabh Bachchan To Play An Important Role In R Balki's Psychological Thriller Film With Sunny Deol & Dulquer Salmaan

Mumbai, August 17, 2021: Director R. Balki has already started shooting for his next film that is a psychological thriller starring Sunny Deol and Dulquer Salmaan in the lead roles. The yet-to-be-titled film is the first directorial venture for Balki after Akshay Kumar starrer Padman. ## Meanwhile, ever since the movie was announced, there were rumors that legendary Amitabh Bachchan is also a part of the film considering that he shares a good rapport with the filmmaker and has done guest appearances in Balki's previous films too. Well, the filmmaker has now himself confirmed that Big B is indeed an important part of the film and that his role will be decisive. ## Speaking about Big B's role in the film, the director told Spotboye, "He has to be there. I've cast him in every single film of mine beginning with Cheeni Kum where he was the lead to Pad Man where he made a special appearance. Mumbai, August 11, 2021: Earlier in May this year, director R Balki announced his next film with Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan. The yet-to-be-titled psychological thriller is written by R Balki and co-written by Rishi Virmani and Raja Sen. Now, the makers have brought a respectable cast on board to join Salmaan. ## As reported earlier, Sunny Deol has been confirmed to lead the cast along with Shreya Dhanwanthary, and Pooja Bhatt while Dulquer was already confirmed. The film marks R Balki's first collaboration with all four actors and the filmmaker is excited to shoot on the project after a long time. Balki last directed the 2018 National Award-winning drama Pad Man starring Akshay Kumar. ## "After months of waiting, for me, it is exciting to start shooting anything. Mahesh Bhatt Directorial Sadak 2 Makes Unwanted Double

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt returned as a director after almost 20 years to direct the sequel of his 1991 film, Sadak. Kartoos, that was released in 1999 was the last movie of Mahesh Bhatt as a director before Sadak 2 starring the original cast of Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt along with the new addition of Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. ## Sadak 2, however, ditched the conventional theatrical release due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and instead, it premiered on the OTT platform, Disney+Hotstar on August 28. Sadak 2 was one of the movies announced by Disney Plus Hotstar on June 29 and was one of the most awaited movies. However, upon its release, it was declared an outright disaster by the critics and the viewers. ## The much-hyped union of the Bhatts with Sadak 2 has proved to be a damp squib. Despite having a talented star cast, this action drama film has now gone on to become the lowest-rated film on IMDb, surpassing the 2015's Turkish film, Code Name: K.O.Z. that rated 1.3 on the website.
