Akshay Kumar's 'Raksha Bandhan' First Critics Reviews Are Out Online
Mumbai, August 10 - The much-awaited family comedy-drama film, Raksha Bandhan, starring Akshay Kumar, is finally hitting theaters worldwide tomorrow (August 11). Directed by Anand L Rai, Raksha Bandhan is touted to revive the family drama genre, which used to be the strongest zone of the Bollywood industry.



The movie revolves around Lala Kedarnath (Akshay), who runs a street food shop, the third generation of his family to do so. He plays a role of a brother whose primary concern is getting his four sisters married, and at the same time, dealing with the problem of dowry. The movie also stars Bhumi Pednekar, Sadia Khateeb, Sahejmeen Kaur, Smrithi Srikanth, and Deepika Khanna in key roles.



Meanwhile, Raksha Bandhan has had a premiere in Delhi ahead of the film's official release. The first critics' reviews have also started coming online and they are largely positive. Have a look at some of the reviews.
