Kajol, Tamannaah Bhatia, Mrunal Thakur's 'Anthology Film 'Lust Stories 2' Debuts With 4+ Million Views On Netflix

Mumbai, July 6 - The second installment of the anthology film "Lust Stories" has opened in the top 10 most-watched non-English films on Netflix. "Lust Stories 2" is consisting of four short film segments directed by R. Balki, Konkona Sen Sharma, Amit Ravindernath Sharma, and Sujoy Ghosh. ## The film premiered on June 29 and debuted at number 4 with 4.2 million views. The film, which is 2 hours and 13 minutes long, scored 9.3 million viewing hours in its opening weekend. The anthology received a mixed response from critics and digital audiences. ## "Lust Stories 2" is trending at the number in India as well as in Mauritius, Bangladesh, Maldives, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and UAE while also trending in the top 10 in Qatar, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Hong Kong, Bahrain, and Singapore on Netflix.## The first segment - "Made For Each Other" of the anthology is directed by R. Balki and stars Mrunal Thakur, Neena Gupta, and Angad Bedi in key roles, followed by Konkona Sen Sharma's segment - "The Mirror" features Tillotama Shome, Amruta Subhash, and Shrikant Yadav. ## Sujoy Ghosh directs "Sex With Ex" featuring Tamannaah Bhatia, Vijay Varma, Mukti Mohan, and Jugal Hansraj in the lead while the last segment - "Tilchatta", helmed by Amit Sharma, stars Kajol, and Kumud Mishra in the prominent roles. ## Apart from "Lust Stories 2", director Sudhir Mishra's "Afwaah" also featured in the Netflix top 10 list last weekend with the 9th spot. Mumbai, March 23 - Director Anubhav Sinha's drama film Bheed seems to be going nowhere with its pre-sales and chances for its dull start at the box office looming large. ## Starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar, "Bheed" is set during the events of the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown in India. It tells the story of how several characters in the film deal with the covid-19 lockdown and migrate to a place they feel safe. ## The movie did hit by controversy, however, despite the desperate attempt, it failed to generate any sort of buzz which was clearly visible in the advance booking which finished below 10 lac gross for the opening day. ## Given the fact that there was hardly any awareness among the moviegoers and dull response in the pre-booking, "Bheed" was always going to struggle at the box office and that's what happened with it with the opening of around 30 lacs. Sinha's last directorial, "Anek" (2022) too bombed at the box office and the prospects are not looking promising for his upcoming film either. ## The lack of curiosity for "Bheed" is set to benefit Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's "Tu Jhoothi Mein Makkaar" for another week before Ajay Devgn's "Bholaa" arrives on March 30. There is Keanu Reeves' "John Wick 4" this weekend but that will mainly acquire the premium screens. Mumbai, July 19 - Shehnaaz Gill, who shot to fame following her stint on Bigg Boss 13, has started making big in the Bollywood film industry. The actress will be making her Bollywood debut with Salman Khan-fronted Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, which is currently under production and will be released on December 30, 2022. ## Now, according to the latest reports, the bubbly and talented actress has signed her second Hindi film and will star alongside veteran Anil Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar. The movie will be produced by Rhea Kapoor and it will be directed by her husband Karan Boolani, as per ETimes. ## The yet-untitled movie is said to be based on a modern take on relationships. Just like Rhea's previous films, the upcoming movie will also be an oriented subject and will go on floors by August this year. Shehnaaz will feature in a full-fledged role and it will be her first with Anil Kapoor and Bhumi. ## Apart from the aforementioned films, there are rumours that the Punjabi Kudi will also share screen space with Sanjay Dutt. She also hinted about her collaboration with Sanju Baba and going to America with him. However, there is not much revealed yet about the project in question. ## Shehnaaz has been a fan favorite since Bigg Boss days. She also starred in the Punjabi movie "Honsla Rakh, with Diljit Dosanjh and Sonam Bajwa and the movie went on to become a huge blockbuster. Mumbai, May 13 - Award-winning filmmaker Anubhav Sinha is bringing yet another hard-hitting social-drama film, "Bheed" on the big screen. The movie, starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar, will be hitting worldwide theaters on November 18, 2022. ## "What started with a small idea, soon metamorphosed into a screenplay that nudged me to make the film on a large canvas. As a filmmaker, I believe entertainment has the responsibility of making its audience think. I have attempted that with every film of mine and that's what we are doing with Bheed.
