'Bad Newz' Opening Day Box Office Expectations

The film's advance booking opened a couple of days ago and unlike its title, the booking trend has been good news for the industry and the makers in particular. In comparison to previous movies, the pre-sales of Bad Newz are much better than most of them and it even topped Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon's Crew after the superb jump in the last hours.

Crew although opened to 9.25 crores net is still one of the biggest openers of the year and Bad Newz will look to come close to these numbers. Depending on how the spot booking fares, Bad Newz, which is expected to be released on over 2000 screens, should open in the range of 9 crores (+/-) net collection while a double-digit start also can not be ruled out (optimistic).

As can be guessed in the pre-sales, the buzz for Bad Newz has been good thanks to the trailer which was well received and the songs which have set the tone. The genre of the movie is also a big pulse as there haven't been good comedy-drama films this year which have seen more action and romantic titles so far.
