Barbenheimer Box Office: Barbie and Oppenheimer Hit $2+ Billion Combine Globally

Los Angeles, August 28 - The global box office phenomena, Barbenheimer, the blockbuster combination of two summer tentpoles Barbie and Oppenheimer, have jointly taken their ship past $2 billion at the worldwide box office. The current global total of both the movies stands at $2.12 billion (17510 crores).
Barbie - Directed by Greta Gerwig and headlined by Margot Robbie, the fantasy comedy drama film has grossed solid $1.34 billion (11070 crores) through 6th weekend. It is set to become the highest-grossing movie of the year by beating "Super Mario Bros." ($1.36 billion) in the next couple of day.
At the domestic (North America) box office, Barbie has minted $595 million (4915 crores) so far, which makes it the highest-grossing film domestically in Warner Bros. history. Overseas, the movie has grossed excellent $745 million (6155 crores), with the UK being the biggest international market for the movie with $115 million.
Oppenheimer - It has become the highest-grossing non-Batman movie for director Christopher Nolan worldwide with $777 million (6420 crores) through 6th week. The atom bomb movie has scored $300 million (2480 crores) at the domestic box office while overseas gross reached $477 million (3940 crores).
The UK is again the biggest international market for the movie with $67.5 million. The movie has been exceptional in India as well with $18.8 million (155 crores) so far. It is the highest-grossing Hollywood movie of the year in India and also, the biggest ever for Nolan.
