Blockbuster 'Virupaksha' Becomes The Highest-Grossing Film For Sai Dharam Tej
Hyderabad, April 30 - Telugu mystic action thriller Virupaksha, starring Sai Dharam Tej and Samyuktha Menon, is continuing its strong performance at the domestic box office and is proving to be the first choice of Telugu moviegoers in the second week as well.



Directed by Karthik Varma Dandu, "Virupaksha" was the number one Telugu movie on Saturday with a gross collection of 3.80 crores, outdoing the new release "Agent" which grossed just 1.80 crores on its second day.



Meanwhile, the total worldwide collection of "Virupaksha" has around 64 crores, including around 35 crores share collection in 9 days, becoming the highest-grossing film ever for Sai Dharam Tej. The previous biggest grosser of the actor was "Prati Roju Pandage" (2019) which grossed around 61 crores worldwide.



The domestic total collection of the latest flick is around 54 crores, including 28 crores share collection in the two Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. With not much competition from the new releases, "Virupaksha" is expected to be the first choice for the Telugu audiences this week.



Produced by Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra and Sukumar Writings, the movie stands an outside chance to reach 100 crores gross collection worldwide, and if reaches there, it will be the first ever for SDT and the 4th Telugu movie of 2023.
