Box Office: Avatar 2 Becomes The Highest-Grossing Hollywood Blockbuster In India
The science-fiction epic has completed 25 days in India and scored approx. 375 crores net. "Avengers: Endgame" had netted approx. 373 crores and is now behind "Avatar 2" in India. As far as the gross collection is concerned, Cameron's directorial has grossed approx. 458 crores while Endgame had scored approx. 445 crores in 2019.
The sequel to Cameron's highest-grossing film of all time is racing towards 400 crores net in India for all languages. The movie had the second biggest opening week for a Hollywood movie with approx. 194 crores net, followed by 100 crores in the second week. Despite the competition, the movie had another strong 3rd week of approx. 60 crores net and in the 4th week, it has already scored around 20 crores in 4 days for all languages.
At the worldwide box office, "Avatar 2" has become the 7th highest-grossing film ever with a gross collection of $1.71 billion. It is expected to surpass the "Spider-Man: No Way Home" lifetime collection of $1.91 billion by next Sunday to become the 6th biggest grosser. The movie has been projected to finish over $2.2 billion globally in its lifetime run which will make it the 3rd biggest film after "Avatar" ($2.92 B) and "Avengers: Endgame" ($2.80 B).
