Box Office: Pawan Kalyan's 'Jalsa' Re-Release Worldwide Collection
Hyderabad, September 3 - Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan's all-time blockbuster Jalsa returned to the big screen to celebrate his birthday. The special shows of Trivikram Srinivas-directed action comedy were arranged across Telugu states and international locations on September 1 and 2.
"Jalsa" was re-released on over 500 shows worldwide, which is an all-time record for an Indian movie as far as the special shows are concerned. The movie also did exceptionally well at the box office and brought in higher numbers than most of the new releases opening day numbers.



The movie collected approx. 2.60 crores gross in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states, including approx. 1.26 crores from the Nizam area while the rest of India's collection of the movie is around 20 lakhs. These are all-time record collections for an Indian movie's re-release for one-day. Overseas, "Jalsa" scored approx. 30 lakh ($37600) from the USA box office from 26 locations while from 5 locations in Australia, it collected approx. 6 lakh (A$10960).



The total worldwide collection of the film is around 3.20 crores gross, and the entire collection will be used for charity. The craze for the movie, which was originally released in 2008, was already visible in the advance booking as almost all the shows in Telugu states were booked.
