Coldplay Concert At Iconic Narendra Modi Stadium Sees Historic Result

Ahmedabad, January 27 - The British rock band, Coldplay has concluded its historic India tour at the Iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The band, led by pianist and singer Chris Martin, had a historic couple of nights in the most populous city of the state which saw a record turnaround.



Home Minister of Gujarat, Harsh Sanghav announced on social media platform X that two concerts of Coldplay in the city on January 25 and 26 welcomed a record-breaking 2.5+ lakh visitors, including 1.70 lakh+ visitors from outside Gujarat state.



On Republic Day, the Coldplay concert was attended by 134K+ people which is said to be the largest attended concert in Asia in the 21st century. It is also said to be the third-highest-grossing show in Asia and the biggest Coldplay concert ever. Further, it was bigger than any concert by pop icons - Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Madonna and Michael Jackson.



Coldplay performed five shows in India as part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour. The first three concerts were in Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium, followed by back-to-back shows in Ahmedabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium which is the largest cricket stadium in the world with a total capacity of 132,000.
