Daniel Craig doesn't want James Bond to be streamed

Los Angeles, Dec 25 (IANS) Hollywood star Daniel Craig has urged people not to stream James Bond films because "event movies" deserve to be seen on a big cinema screen. ## Craig said: "One of the greatest things that's happened is we got this movie into the cinema. ## "That's where Bond movies should be. They don't look so good on a phone. They look great on an Imax screen. It looks great on a 30ft screen. ## "And they are family events. It gets the family out. As long as there's event movies like this then cinemas got a chance of surviving." ## While Daniel's Bond successor has yet to be announced, the 'Knives Out' star has offered some tips for whoever takes over as the suave spy, reports femalefirst.co.uk. ## He told The Sun newspaper: "There's a couple things I'd say. One is don't be s***. I would say you have to grab it and make it your own." ## For the new Bond, Craig thinks the franchise is in a "good place" and he believes there are still a lot of good stories to be told. ## He added: "I hope I've left it in a good place and I hope the next person can just make it fly. It's an amazing franchise. I still think there's a lot of stories to tell." ## He recently shared that he thought it was "very satisfying" that Bond was apparently killed at the end of 'No Time To Die' after he sacrificed himself to save partner Madeleine (Lea Seydoux) and his daughter Mathilde (Lisa-Dorah Sonnet). ## Reflection on the dramatic finale, he said: "There were lots of different ideas that came and went and some of it stuck. The through line of this is family (and) love, plus the fact we had an end so it was about hanging the film off that." ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk For More Such Updates.

Mumbai, October 10 - James Bond "No Time To Die" opened with $56 million at the North America box office, very much in line with the industry's early box office projection of $55M-$60M. Daniel Craig's final outing as 007, the movie scored the fifth-best domestic opening during the covid-19 pandemic. ## The pre-ticket sales of "No Time To Die" had better than "Venom - Let There Be Carnage" and the Hollywood industry insider had hoped to cross $60 million in its domestic launch. According to The Hollywood Reporter, 57 percent of ticket buyers were over the age of 35, including 36 percent over 45 years old. The male audience is turning into large numbers as 64 percent of ticket buyers are male. ## Meanwhile, despite the above par opening domestic weekend, "No Time To Die" continues to score big in the international market. The Bond pic stormed past $300 million worldwide after grossing an estimated $89.5M internationally in the second weekend, taking its total overseas collection to $257M. Box Office: James Bond 'No Time To Die' Takes The Best Start At BO For A Bond Movie

Los Angeles, October 8 - Daniel Craig's swan song James Bond "No Time To Die" is all set for a very good opening weekend at the domestic box office after taking the biggest start for a Bond film ever. The United Artist Releasing/MGM/Eon's film off to $6.3 million from Thursday box office previews that began at 4 p.m. ## The Thursday previews box office collection for "No Time To Die" is best for a Bond film, 19% ahead of Spectre's $5.25M, and also exceeds the preview nights of previous Daniel Craig 007 movies Skyfall ($4.6M off midnight shows) and Quantum of Solace ($2.5M off 8 p.m. showtimes).## "No Time To Die" Thursday previews are lower than the previews Hollywood pic "Shang-Chi" ($8.8M), "Venom 2" ($11.6M), "Black Widow" ($13.2M). However, the audience for Bond films is different from all these movies, as Bond is dependent on older adult audiences, and should they show up this weekend, the pic will over-index.## The 25th Bond has conservatively estimated to earn $55M-$60M in the opening domestic weekend, but exhibitors have set over $70M estimate for the film and over $150M worldwide for its second global weekend. ## The advance ticket sales for "No Time To Die" on Fandango already are ahead of Venom - Let There Be Carnage, and previous Bond films Spectre ($70.4M), Quantum of Solace ($67.5M), and Casino Royale ($40.8M). Daniel Craig To Retire As The Most Succesful MI6 Agent Of The James Bond Franchise At The Box Office

Mumbai, September 30 - The 25th film in the James Bond franchise, "No Time To Die" has been released in theaters outside the USA on September 30. The film, featuring Daniel Craig as a 007 agent, received great reviews from the critics after its world premiere in London on Tuesday (September 28), where the cast and crew hit the red carpet.## The $250 million budgeted film (most expensive Bond film) is going to be Daniel Craig's final outing as James Bond. The actor has played this iconic character in five Bond movies including "No Time To Die" and is regarded as one of the finest Bond characters in the history of the franchise. Craig's Bond has not only becomes the fan-favorite but also take the franchise to new highs in terms of the scale and box office potential. ## If "No Time To Die" is really going to be Craig's final outing as a British fictional MI6 agent, then he will go down as the most successful Bond of the franchise at the box office. Before "No Time To Die", Craig starrer Bond movies "Casino Royale" (2006), "Quantum of Solace" (2008), "Skyfall" (2012), and "Spectre" (2015) had grossed over $3.15 billion globally, averaging $791 million per film. ## Before Craig, Pierce Brosnan was the most successful Bond hero with approx $1.50 billion with four films he starred in. With Daniel Craig calling his time off after "No Time To Die", the question remains who will be the next James Bond and can he reprise the success of Craig at the box office? Producer Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli are, however, not in hurry to announce the next Bond until next year. There are, however, a few names making noises including Tom Hardy, Idris Elba, among others, who, one of them could potentialy be the next 007 agent. ## Stay tuned...
