Mumbai, January 17 - Marvel Studios has once again demonstrated the unmatched pull of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the teasers for Avengers: Doomsday have racked up 1 billion views worldwide across digital platforms. According to the reports, the studio is happy with the extraordinary response without revealing anything about Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr. The 1 billion views milestone has been achieved through a series of four short teaser videos released over the past few weeks on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and X (formerly Twitter), underlining the enormous anticipation surrounding the next Avengers event film. The teasers focused on the return of some of the OG Marvel heroes. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The teaser campaign has followed a unique rollout strategy, with the first glimpse of Avengers: Doomsday debuting exclusively in theatres before making its way online. Subsequent teasers spotlighting key corners of the MCU, including legacy Avengers, the X-Men, Wakanda and the Fantastic Four, further fueled fan excitement and drove massive engagement on social media. Avengers: Endgame Re-Release: Can Marvel's Titan Reclaim the All-Time Box Office Crown?

BY SACNILK

Los Angeles, December 11 — When Marvel Studios' Avengers: Endgame first arrived in 2019, it took the global box office by storm, becoming the highest-grossing movie of all time by dethroning fellow Disney and director James Cameron's Avatar, with an astonishing $2.79 billion. The Marvel titan temporarily outgrossed Avatar, ending its decade-long reign at the top. However, the MCU mega movie's victory was short-lived the as it shifted again when Avatar was re-released in China in 2021, where it added a strong $58 million to its tally, helping it reclaim the global box office crown. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) A year later, another re-release across 47 markets contributed an additional $76 million, pushing its worldwide total to $2.92 billion and increasing the gap with Endgame. Since Endgame's original run, only two films, Avatar: The Way of Water and China's Ne Zha 2, have crossed the $2 billion mark, but neither came close to threatening Avatar's towering lead. In a major announcement, Marvel Studios recently confirmed that Avengers: Endgame will be re-released globally in September next year, ahead of Avengers: Doomsday's release in December. It is learned that Doomsday will start where Endgame concluded, so the re-release could be kind of a recap of what happened ahead of all the next important chapters of the Avengers. While the core idea of Avengers: Endgame re-release might not be to give it a chance to reclaim the box office crown, it has certainly raised anticipation about this ultimate box office battle. The box office feat is challenging but not impossible, and that will surely make things interesting. China Could Be the Game-Changer. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) While Endgame boasts unmatched worldwide popularity, it will not be a straightforward task for the film to hit the screens again and top Avatar. Analysts believe that, if re-released, China may be the crucial market that determines its success in this renewed box office battle, given that Avatar earned $58 million from China alone during its 2021 re-release. If Endgame is to reclaim the top spot, a China re-release might not just help, it might be necessary. Marvel’s film enjoyed immense success in China during its 2019 run, grossing $632 million and becoming the biggest non-Chinese grosser there, and a renewed release there could significantly bolster its global total. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Can Endgame Make History Again? One thing that makes Endgame's case strong is that Marvel films enjoy immense popularity in all the major box office markets. With nostalgia, an enormous global fanbase, and a globally coordinated re-release, Endgame stands a realistic chance of challenging Avatar once more. If it performs strongly in major overseas territories, it may very well script one of the greatest box office comebacks ever. Stay tuned...

Avengers: Endgame Returns - Marvel's Highest-Grossing Film Sets Re-Release Date

BY SACNILK

Mumbai, December 6 - One of the highest-grossing films of all-time, Marvel Studios Avengers: Endgame is making its return to the big screen, ahead of Avengers: Doomsday release on December 18 next year. Originally released in 2019, the beloved Marvel epic will be re-released in theatres on September 25, 2026. The studio, however, didn't confirm whether it will be a worldwide or just a domestic (North America) re-launch, or how long the window will be. Directed by the Russo Brothers, who are also directing Doomsday, Endgame was a global phenomenon back in 2019. It stormed the box office everywhere it got released and eventually became the highest-grossing movie ever with $2.79 billion for some time before James Cameron's Avatar ($2.92 billion) reclaimed its spot. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Avengers: Endgame was the culmination of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 3, and it proved to be the most emotional outing for Marvel fans for many reasons. The film bid goodbye to Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man, as well as Chris Evans' Captain America, and Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow, who later featured in the character's spin-off in 2021's Black Widow. The trio has been one of the major reasons behind the MCU's global success. Meanwhile, Robert Downey Jr. has returned to the MCU with Doomsday, but not as Iron Man, but as Doctor Doom, who is the main villain of the next saga. Currently in production, Doomsday will feature many notable MCU stars, including Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Letitia Wright as Black Panther, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki, among many others. Marvel Studios 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' Domestic (North America) Opening Weekend Box Office Forecast Revealed

BY SACNILK

Los Angeles, July 21 - The Hollywood film industry is currently riding high on back-to-back box office successes, with recent titles like F1, Jurassic World Rebirth, and Superman drawing in huge crowds. The upcoming lineup through the year is looking promising, with several titles expected to score big numbers. ## The spotlight shifts to Marvel Studios’ much-anticipated release, Fantastic Four: First Steps — the second reboot of the iconic superhero franchise, which is generating solid buzz ahead of its theatrical debut. According to a report by Deadline, pre-sales for First Steps are already tracking ahead of Marvel's own Thunderbolts and Captain America: Brave New World, setting the stage for a promising domestic opening. ## Disney is reportedly projecting a conservative $100 million to $110 million debut weekend in North America. However, independent box office trackers are far more optimistic, estimating an opening between $125 million and $145 million. The higher projection, however, might not (or may be) turn into reality as pre-sales are reportedly around 20% behind DC's Superman, which recently debuted with $123 million. But if the reviews are positive, the higher opening is very much expected. ## The Fantastic Four franchise has historically seen lukewarm openings. The last instalment, 2015's Fantastic Four, opened with just $25 million domestically, and the highest opener in the series remains 2007's Rise of the Silver Surfer, which collected $58 million, only marginally higher than the $56 million earned by the 2005 original. ## Still, with the Marvel Cinematic Universe's brand power and a fresh creative direction, Fantastic Four: First Steps is poised to breathe new life into the franchise and is set to deliver its biggest opening yet. As Hollywood continues to stack up major wins this summer, all eyes are now on Marvel’s First Family to keep the momentum going. ## About The Fantastic Four: First Steps ## Directed by Matt Shakman, The First Steps is intended to be the 37th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn as the titular team, alongside Julia Garner, Natasha Lyonne, Paul Walter Hauser, and Ralph Ineson. In the film, the Fantastic Four must protect their 1960s-inspired retro-futuristic world from the planet-devouring cosmic being Galactus (Ineson). ## The movie is scheduled to release on July 25. ## Stay tuned...

Box Office: 'Thunderbolts' Strikes With $160+ Million Worldwide Opening

BY SACNILK

Los Angeles, May 5 - Marvel Studios' Thunderbolts has finished the first weekend at the worldwide box office with $162+ million, slightly under industry projection. The movie, however, is expected to have solid legs with positive word of mouth and critics' reviews by its side. ## The Jake Schreier's directorial blockbuster ignited the domestic (North America) box office with a $76 million 3-day opening weekend, higher than the industry projection. Marvel movies tend to open with much higher collections, but this is a very good start for a new superhero movie, which features lesser-known Marvel heroes. ## The domestic opening of Thunderbolts* is in line with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings ($75 million) and Eternals ($71 million), which also introduced newer Marvel protagonists. As per Variety, the film will have a strong run due to WOM and reviews, which are among the highest for a Marvel tentpole. ## The overseas box office, Thunderbolts, came below the industry's projection with $86 million during the 5-day weekend in 53 markets. This is lower than Enternals ($90 million) but better than Shang-Chi ($56 million). The film struck $162 million worldwide opening weekend, which is on par with Eternals. ## China was the biggest international market for the film with $10.4 million, followed by the UK ($7.7 million) and Mexico ($7.3 million). In India, Thunderbolts had a low first 4-day weekend with under $2 million, which is among the lowest for a Marvel title. ## Stay tuned...
