Salman Khan Officially Announces His Next Film With First Look Title

Mumbai, July 4 - After teasing the official poster of his upcoming film in a midnight social media post, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has officially announced his next film, set against the backdrop of the Galwan Valley clash in 2020 between India and Chinese troops.

The film, titled Battle of Galwan, will be directed by Apoorva Lakhia of Shootout at Lokhandwala fame, and produced by Salman Khan Films. The makers dropped an intense first look motion poster, featuring Salman with bloodstains on his face, donning an army uniform with a fierce expression in his eyes.



In this patriotic action drama, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan star will be portraying the late Colonel B. Santosh Babu, the commanding officer of the 16 Bihar Regiment, who heroically led Indian soldiers during the conflict. Himesh Reshammiya will be the music composer of the film.



The shoot of the movie is expected to commence soon, and it will hit the big screens in 2026. Meanwhile, Salman was last seen in AR Murugadoss's action drama Sikandar, which underperformed at the global box office, earning below ₹200 crore and being labelled a commercial flop. Fans are now hoping the upcoming Galwan film marks a strong comeback for the superstar.
