Yash Raj Films Announces Rani Mukerji's 'Mardaani 3' For 2026 Release

Mumbai, December 13 - Yash Raj Films has officially announced the third instalment of Rani Mukerji-led action thriller franchise Mardaani. The actress will return to reprise her role as SP Shivani Shivaji Roy in Mardaani 3 which is expected to be more dark and brutal.
Abhiraj Minawala, who has worked as the second unit assistant director in films like Tiger 3, and Sultan, will be making his debut as a director with this upcoming movie that is scheduled for a 2026 release worldwide.
Mardaani is the first female-led film franchise to have a trilogy. It is said that the popularity of Rani's character is one of the reasons behind the makers' decision to go ahead with Mardaani 3 which will go on floors by early next year and the team plans to shoot across international locations.
