Mumbai, April 19 - Director Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge continues to prove its box office strength even in its fifth week, registering a solid jump on its 5th Saturday despite facing stiff competition from the new release Bhooth Bangla, starring Akshay Kumar.

The Ranveer Singh starrer earned 4.5 crore net in Hindi on its 5th Saturday, marking a strong 73% jump from the previous day's collections. This growth comes after a dip on Friday (2.60 crore), largely due to the arrival of a new competitor in theatres.

What's notable is that the film managed to bounce back despite reduced screens and show cuts, indicating sustained audience interest even after a month-long run, and being heavily frontloaded. It scored the fifth biggest 31st day at the Hindi box office, with the first Dhurandhar taking the top spot with 12.75 crores.

Meanwhile, Bhooth Bangla has taken the top spot in daily collections and is clearly winning the weekend with a solid margin. The horror-comedy has already crossed 60 crore worldwide, including 42 crores in India, in just two days, clearly dominating the current box office charts.

Despite this, Dhurandhar 2 remains a formidable force. The film's total Hindi net collection has already crossed 1000 crore, and currently stands at 1043 crores net in 31 days. On a larger scale, it has already crossed the 1100 crore mark in India (all versions), and worldwide, it has minted 1750 crores.

In conclusion, while Bhooth Bangla currently leads in daily earnings, Dhurandhar 2's strong weekend jump highlights its remarkable staying power. Even in its fifth week, the film is not just surviving—but actively competing, making this box office clash one of the most interesting in recent times.
