Mumbai, July 9 - Pan-India superstar Allu Arjun's sci-fi film, tentatively called AA22xA6 with director Atlee has been a talk of the town ever since it was announced. It is a one-of-a-kind cinematic epic, and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to bring the best talent for the same. ## When it comes to the female casting for the movie, the makers have pulled off a casting coup by bringing Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor, and Mrunal Thakur on board. Now, according to the report by Pinkvilla, director Atlee has roped in Rashmika Mandanna to play a key role in the film. ## The film will reunite Rashmika with Allu Arjun after their all-time blockbuster, the Pushpa franchise. The report states that the actress will be seen in one of the most daring roles of her career. The dynamics of Rashmika and Allu will be very different from what they shared in the Pushpa films. ## It is said that Rashmika has already done her look test and body scan with Atlee in LA, and the pre-production work for her character is underway. Set in a parallel universe, AA22xA6 will feature some of the biggest male and female actors of Indian cinema. ## The shoot of this Sun Pictures' production has already begun recently, and the makers are expected to complete it by the second half of 2026, with post-production going on simultaneously. Mumbai, July 9 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's hugely anticipated courtroom comedy drama Jolly LLB 3, co-starring Arshad Warsi, is reportedly eyeing a Gandhi Jayanti 2025 release. The first is currently scheduled to hit the big screen on September 19.## According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter India, the Subhash Kapoor's directorial blockbuster is set to be postponed by two weeks. The report states that the makers are eyeing to bring the movie on October 2, 2025, as they feel it is a perfect holiday release. ## The team, including Akshay Kumar and director Subhash Kapoor, is confident that they have made an entertaining movie, and the discussions are going on to give it a holiday release, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, on October 2nd. ## Produced by Star Studios and Kangra Talkies, the film will pit Akshay and Arshad against each other in the movie as lawyers, with Saurabh Shukla returning to play Judge Sunderlal Tripathi. Mumbai, July 9 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn is gearing up for the final chapter of the crime suspense thriller franchise, Drishyam, which begins filming this October and releases in theatres worldwide on October 2, 2026, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. ## Directed by Abhishek Pathak, Drishyam 3 will reunite the cast of Drishyam 2. The list includes films released between January 1, 2025 and July 1, 2025, that have an average IMDb user rating of 6 or higher with at least 10,000 votes. ## Determined by the actual page views of the more than 250 million monthly visitors to IMDb worldwide, all the top 10 popular films had a theatrical release. Of the top 10 titles, six are Bollywood films, followed by three Tamil films, and one Malayalam movie. ## 1. Chhaava (Hindi) - Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Maddock Films, the historical action drama features Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna in the leading roles. It is currently the highest-grossing Indian film with over 800 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office. ## 2. Dragon (Tamil) - Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu and starring Pradeep Ranganathan, Anupama Parameswaran, Kayadu Lohar, Mysskin, and Gautham Vasudev Menon, Dragon is a coming-of-age comedy-drama released on February 21, 2025. Los Angeles, July 9 - When the box office around the globe is slowly returning to normalcy, how can James Gunn's Superman not fly and join the party, having just hit the worldwide tracking ahead of its release this weekend, on July 11, and the early numbers are promising a solid start for DC Universe (DCU). ## Starring David Corenswet as Clark Kent / Superman, alongside Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Superman has been projected to debut with at least, $200 million at the global box office at 60,000 global screens, split evenly between domestic and overseas, according to Deadline. ## While global tracking sets expectations high, there's a noticeable difference in projections between box office analysts and DC Studios. Tracking services predict a domestic opening in the range of $130 million, whereas the studio remains cautiously optimistic, projecting $100+ million opening weekend in North America. ## The higher-end forecast for the movie has a term & condition attached to it, which is critical reception. Fortunately, the initial critics' reviews for the movie are positive, currently sitting at 86% from 147 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, a significant improvement over previous Superman outings. Mumbai, July 8 - Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh's horror-comedy Sardaar Ji 3 continues to be a force at the overseas box office, after skipping its India release due to controversy. The film is now inching close to the ₹50 crore mark in international markets alone. ## Directed by Amar Hundal, the film collected approximately ₹9 crore during its second weekend, reflecting a solid hold with just a 40% drop from its first frame. Notably, this total excludes Pakistan, where the film had grossed ₹7 crore in its first week but saw no collections over the weekend due to cinema closures for Muharram. ## With a 10-day overseas gross of ₹42.60 crore (~$5 million), Sardaar Ji 3 now stands as the highest-grossing Punjabi film of 2025, surpassing "Saunkan Saunkanay 2", which had earned around an estimated ₹35 crore globally after its release on May 30th. ## Top Performing Territories ## North America is the biggest market for the film with approximately ₹18.75 crores ($2.2 million), followed by Pakistan with 7 crores ($830K), and the United Kingdom with ₹6.25 crores ($725K). Sardaar Ji 3 is the third biggest Punjabi grosser at the overseas box office, after "Carry On Jatta 3" (₹46 crores) and "Jatt & Juliet 3" (₹57.50 crores). Hyderabad, July 8 - Telugu heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda's much-awaited action thriller Kingdom, directed by "Jersey" fame Gowtam Tinnanuri, has been confirmed to hit the big screens on July 31st, after getting postponed on multiple occasions. ## The release date announcement of "Kingdom" has ended the wait for the fans, but the announcement comes with a twist. The movie was originally announced to be released in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi (as "Saamraajya"), but in the latest release date announcement, there is no mention of the Hindi version. ## While the clear reason for not releasing the movie in Hindi is not known yet, the reports say that it will be released directly on a streaming platform. Netflix is the streaming partner of the movie, and there was a different deal in place originally. ## However, the multiple delays led to a situation where Netflix asked the makers to release the movie in theatres as soon as possible. It is worth noting that to release a movie in a multiplex in Hindi, the film requires, at least, an 8-week theatrical window, and this seems not to be the case with Kingdom. ## To avoid these challenges, the makers have reportedly skipped theatrical release in Hindi. The film, produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, will release only in Telugu along with the dubbed version of Tamil on July 31st.
