Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani's 'Dunki' To Release A Day Early In International Markets

Mumbai, September 26 - The first-time collaboration of two of the most powerful forces of Indian cinema, superstar Shah Rukh Khan and director Rajkumar Hirani for a comedy-drama Dunki, is creating a lot of buzz among the audiences as well as the trade. ## "Dunki", which is based on illegal immigration, is currently in the post-production work as it is scheduled to be released on December 22 in the domestic market. Meanwhile, according to Pinkvilla, the movie will be hitting cinemas a day early in the international markets according to a well-planned statrgy by the makers.## It is said that the makers are proceeding with the full-fledged release on December 21 in the entire international markets to get the benefit of the extended Christmas holiday period. The idea is to maximize word of mouth and get the audience excited for the conventional weekend from Friday to Sunday. Yash Raj Films will distribute the movie in overseas markets.## The report further revealed that "Dunki" has been confirmed for Christmas release. The test screening of the movie has already taken place and it met with overwhelming responses. Meanwhile, superstar Prabhas and director Prashanth Neel's "Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire" is also releasing on December 22nd and the official announcement for the same is expected to be made on September 29th.## "Dunki" is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment with Jio Studios and Rajkumar Hirani Films. Box Office: 'Gadar 2' and 'Jawan' In Close Race To Top 'Pathaan' First To Become Biggest Hindi Net Grosser of All-Time

Mumbai, September 26 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's spy action thriller Pathaan, which is currently the highest net-grossing movie ever in Hindi, will soon be topped by the next two biggest grossers, Gadar 2: The Katha Continues and Jawan. But the question remains which movie to topple "Pathaan" first to become the biggest Hindi grosser of all time? ## Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan", which has so far scored approximately 520+ crores net in 21 days, will eventually become the biggest Hindi grosser by a very good margin, but at the moment, it is in a close race with "Gadar 2", which has scored approximately 524.30 crores net in 48 days, to outgross "Pathaan" first.## The Sunny Deol-fronted period action drama film has slowed down since the release of "Jawan" but it is still carrying enough fuel to come out on top. However, it won't be a long laugh for the movie as the SRK-starrer will cross it eventually, but it might still enjoy the moment of being the biggest Hindi net-grosser for at least one day. ## Interestingly, the Hindi cinema could have a moment to remember as both "Gadar 2" and "Jawan" are showing a trend of topping "Pathaan" (524.50+ crores) on the same day. Mumbai, September 26 - Bollywood's lady superstar Alia Bhatt has joined hands with "Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota" director Vasan Bala for the first time. The movie is produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions with Alia's Eternal Sunshine Productions. ## On Tuesday (September 26), the makers officially announced the movie with the first look title motion poster. The movie, which is touted to be an action-thriller, has been titled Jigra. The motion poster begins with a quote by GK Chesterton flashing on the screen, which reads, "The paradox of courage is that one must be a little careless of life in order to keep it".## The motion poster shows Alia Bhatt with a bag on her shoulder as she is standing in the streets. Mumbai, September 18 - Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has unlocked a new box office territory as he becomes the first Bollywood and the second Indian actor to score a 1000 crore net collection at the Indian box office in a single year. ## Shah Rukh Khan has two releases in 2023 so far in the form of "Pathaan" and "Jawan", and both movies are currently the top two highest-grossing Indian films of 2023, respectively. Apart from being the biggest grossers of the year, "Pathaan" and "Jawan" have put SRK in a league of his own.## Directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Yash Raj Films, "Pathaan" was released in January this year and went on to score 543 crores net collection, including 524+ crores in the Hindi language. It is currently the highest-grossing movie in Hindi as well as in a single language in terms of net collection.## "Jawan", which is currently playing in theatres, is directed by Tamil director Atlee Kumar and just like "Pathaan", the action thriller is running riot at the box office.
