Suriya 43: Suriya's Film With Director Sudha Kongara Officially Announced With Powerful Cast and First Look Glimpse

Chennai, October 26 - Tamil star Suriya and director Sudha Kongara reunited for a new film, tentatively titled Suriya 43. The duo previously collaborated on "Soorarai Pottru" which received critical acclaim upon its release on Amazon Prime Video in 2020. ## Produced by Suriya and Jyothika's 2D Entertainment in association with Meenakashi Cinemas, "Suriya 43" is said to be inspired by real-life events. The movie was announced with the first look glimpse which shows a riot-like situation with a thrilling background score by GV Prakash Kumar. ## Apart from the film announcement, the makers also confirmed the primary cast. Suriya plays the lead role alongside Dulquer Salmaan, Nazriya Fahadh, and Vijay Varma. Mumbai, September 27 - Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor's digital debut Jaane Jaan has had a blockbuster start on Netflix. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the mystery thriller movie emerged as the most-watched non-English film title worldwide during the week of September 18-24 on Netflix.## "Jaane Jaan" had the biggest opening weekend viewership for an Indian movie on Netflix with 18.8 million viewing hours from 8.1 million views in the first three days. It was also the second most Netflix movie (English and Non-English) during the same week, behind "Love at First Sight" (23 million viewing hours).## Produced under the banner 12th Street Entertainment and Northern Lights Films in association with Kross Pictures and Balaji Motion Pictures, "Jaane Jaan" is an adaptation of the 2005 Japanese novel The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino. It stars Kareena Kapoor as a single mother involved in a murder, alongside Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma.## The second most-watched Indian movie worldwide during the week of September 18-24 was megastar Chiranjeevi's "Bholaa Shankar". The Hindi version of the movie debuted at number 8 in the non-English category with 2.3 million viewing hours from 900K views while other versions also scored 2.3 million viewing hours. Suriya 43: Suriya's Next With Director Sudha Kongara Locks Solid Primary Cast

Chennai, September 14 - Tamil star Suriya and director Sudha Kongara are reuniting for their second film. The duo had earlier collaborated on "Soorarai Pottru" (2020) which won critical acclaim and also scored 5 National awards. ## Three years after the "Soorarai Pottru", the duo of Suriya and Sudha are gearing up for the second collaboration and for that, they have locked a solid rest of the primary cast. Tentatively titled "Suriya 43", the movie will be produced by Suriya's 2D Entertainment. ## The movie has been in the news regarding its casting. Suriya will play the main lead, and reliable reports have confirmed that Malayalam actress Nazriya Nazim is in the advanced talks to play the female lead. The reports have also confirmed that Dulquer Salmaan has been roped in and he is likely to play the brother's role of Suriya's character.## Apart from the aforementioned actors, the latest to join this solid cast is the Hindi film actor, Vijay Varma. He will reportedly be playing the main antagonist in the film which will be released in multiple languages, including Hindi. The pre-production work has already commenced on "Suriya 43" and it is expected to go on floors around November this year. ## Meanwhile, Sudha Kongara also has the Hindi remake of "Sorrari Pottru" ready to release. Govinda And Raveena Tandon's 'Dulhe Raja' To Be Remade With Modern Sensibilities?

Mumbai, September 5 - Govinda and Raveena Tandon's Dulhe Raja (1998) holds a special place in the comedy genre in Bollywood cinema history. Produced and directed by Harmesh Malhotra, "Dulhe Raja" was one of the highest-grossing films of the year and it followed with a tremendous response on television over the years. ## "Dulhe Raja" will complete 25 years in 2023 and if all goes well, the movie could get its modern-day version. According to Pinkvilla, Shah Rukh Khan's production house, Red Chillies Entertainment has acquired the negative and remake rights of the movie and is working on the idea of how to adapt it to modern sensibilities. ## "Very few know that Shah Rukh Khan is indeed a big fan of the comedy genre and Dulhe Raja is one of those popcorn entertainers that he likes. Alia Bhatt's Dark Comedy 'Darlings' Most-Watched Indian Original Film On Netflix

Mumbai, August 29 - Alia Bhatt-fronted dark comedy Darlings continues to score big on Netflix and now, it has become the most-watched Indian original Netflix film of all time, according to the streamer. ## Directed by Jasmeet K. Reen in her debut, "Darlings" was released on August 5 and since then it has been trending in the top 10. According to Netflix, the movie has been watched for 30 million hours, which is a record for an Indian original Netflix film. ## Netflix also revealed that "Darlings" trended in the top 10 in 28 countries in the first three weeks. Alia Bhatt's Dark Comedy 'Darlings' Scores 13.96 Million Viewing Hours In Its First Full Week On Netflix

Mumbai, August 17 - The Darling of Netflix, Alia Bhatt is proving her star power on the digital platform once again after the massive success of Gangubai Kathiawadi. The actress's latest dark-comedy, Darlings has been making all the right noise on the streamer since its launch on August 5. ## The Jasmeet K Reen-directed film scored one of the biggest opening weekend (Aug 5-7) for an Indian movie on Netflix though it fell short to beat, Gangubai Kathiawadi's opening weekend numbers. With the back up of mixed to positive reviews, Darlings lended at number 2 as the most-watched non-English film worldiwde in the week of August 8 - August 14. ## The movie, in its first full week, attracted 13.96 million viewing hours, pushing total viewing hours to 24.17 million views in 10 days. It is trending in the top 10 in 26 countries in the second week against 16 countries in the opening weekned. ## Darlings remained the number 1 movie on Netflix in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and UAE in addition to India, Bahrain, Maldives, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, and Sri Lanka. Mumbai, May 27, 2021: The rising star from Bollywood, Kartik Aaryan seems to be dealing with a lot of heat at the moment, which is resulting in only his loss. After receiving an ouster from Dharma Productions' "Dostana 2" over creative issues, the actor has now reportadly loses one more big title. ## According to Film Information, the Pyaar Ka Punchnama actor has shown the door from Red Chillies Entertainment's "Freddie", which was to be directed by Ajay Bahl (Section 375). The reason behind Kartik's omission from Shah Rukh Khan backed production, is said to be the same as Dharma Productions' Dostana 2.## Kartik reportadly wanted some changes in the script, after having approved of it while signing the film. The movie, however, yet to go on floors, which definitely saved some crores of Red Chillies, unlike, Dharma Productions that reportadly loss nearly Rs. 20 crores as the actor had already shot for around 20 days. ## The report also said that Kartik has returned the Rs. 2 crores signing amount, which he had received from Red Chillies Entertainment for acting in Freddie. Mumbai, April 21 (IANS) "Gully Boy"-fame Vijay Verma says there are two Indian actors -- Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff -- influenced him to become the actor that he is today.## Asked to recall a profound moment that made him think of taking acting seriously, Vijay told IANS: "For me, it was Sanjay Dutt in 'Vaastav'. That was one of those films, and his character was one of such that made me say, 'actor banna hai'. That performance impacted me so much! His character Raghu in the film was a man with a story of zero-to-hero. A man who became a gangster who roams around with pachaas-tola around his neck! Oh man! That was a performance! I think 'Vastaav' was the 'Agneepath' of my growing-up days!"## Did he share the story with Dutt when they met? "No, I haven't because I met him socially, a couple of times. I met him at Mr Bachchan's place but at those moments I was comfortable just being around him and getting a big hug! For sharing my story, we need to sit down and chat.
