Mumbai, August 13, 2021: Ajay Devgn fronted long-awaited, Bhuj: The Pride of India finally premiered on Disney Plus Hotstar on August 13. The period war film directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya has been the talk of the time ever since it has announced. ## Set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, it is about the life of IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik (Ajay Devgn), the then in charge of the Bhuj airport who, with his team, reconstructed the IAF airbase with the help of 300 women from the local village Madhapar. Mumbai, August 12, 2021: Bollywood's Mr. perfectionist, Aamir Khan has expressed concern over films releasing directly on digital platforms, ditching theaters. In the last and a half years, many Bollywood films including Laxmii, Sadak 2, Shershaah, Shakuntla Devi, among others have gone to direct OTT release. Ajay Devgn's Bhuj: The Pride of India is also ready for Disney Plus Hotstar release on August 13. ## While some more films are gearing up for OTT release, Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom has sealed the theatrical release worldwide on August 19 and it brought joy among theater owners as it will kick off the unlocking of cinemas. Aamir Khan, however, admitted that theaters can only be open if the health situation in the country improves and that people get vaccinated.## At an event recently, Aamir Khan was quoted as saying, "Some films are releasing on OTT platforms, and as a film person, I am very concerned. I hope in the near future things will improve. It is not easy to talk about reopening cinema halls. Theatres can be opened up only when the health situation improves, and we control the Covid-19 situation as a society, we are all trying and working on it. As more and more people get vaccinated things will get better". ## Meanwhile, as cinemas are reopening gradually, more and more films are executed to announce the release date, and it has begun as Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi starrer mystery thriller, Chehre, will be the second Hindi film after Bell Bottom to hit the big screen. Delhi, August 10, 2021: It was the day of the big screen premiere of Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani starrer, Shershaah, ahead of its worldwide release on August 12 on Amazon Prime Video. The makers held a special screening for VIPs at Chanakya PVR theater in Delhi last night (August 9) for army captain and Param Veer Chakra Awardee, Vikram Batra's biopic. ## Directed by Vishnu Varadhan and produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions in association with Kaash Entertainment, the makers booked three screens in the plex - one for Captain Vikram Batra's family clan, the other for Army personnel, and the third for Sidharth Malhotra and his friends-n-relatives.## Since the movie is very much concerned with the Indian army, the reaction from army officials was largely positive and they loved the movie. The upcoming web project will focus on the culture and the lives of the sex workers based in that area. Though the theme is much similar to Alia Bhatt's upcoming movie Gangubai Kathiawadi, Bhansali's project will have a different storyline. ## In recent times, names Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, and Huma Qureshi have come to the fore to feature in the film. As part of this collaboration, the next four Tamil movies from 2D Entertainment will premiere directly on Prime Video worldwide, over the next four months, starting from September. ## Interestingly, Suriya's last film as an actor, Soorarai Pottru, was also directly premiered on Amazon Prime Video and got a thundering response from viewers all around the world. Mumbai, July 28, 2021: Ajay Devgn and Priti Sinha are producing a web series on Disney Plus Hotstar, titled "Six Suspects", the official adaptation of author Vikas Swarup's 2016 book by the same name. The show reportadly went on floors in February 2021 end. ## Ajay and Priti had assigned Tigmanshu Dhulia to direct the show while Scam 1992 fame Pratik Gandhi and Richa Chadha roped in to play the leading roles. The web show will also star Ashutosh Rana, Raghubir Yadav, and Sharib Hashmi in important roles. ## The "Six Suspects" web series marks Ajay Devgn's digital debut as a producer as well as Priti Sinha's. Priti is the daughter of (late) Vinay Sinha who produced the Salman Khan-Aamir Khan-Raveena Tandon-Karisma Kapoor's unforgettable comedy 'Andaz Apna Apna' (1994). Priti is Ajay's rakhi sister.## It has been reported that Ajay and Priti have acquired the rights to two books of Swaroop- 'Six Suspects' and 'The Accidental Apprentice'. Dhulia has completed 50 percent of the show in places like Delhi, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Allahabad and is currently shooting in Mumbai. ## Vikas Swarup's book "Q & A" was adapted into the academy-award-winning film 'Slumdog Millionaire' directed by Danny Boyle. Mumbai, July 27, 2021: Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn's digital debut series, Rudra: The Edge of Darkness on Disney+Hotstar, is on a signing spray and getting bigger and bigger with each passing day. Rudra, which is a Hindi adaptation of the British TV series "Luther" starring Idris Elba in the lead roles, was announced in April this year. ## The crime drama thriller series will have an ensemble cast featuring some very talented artists. In June, it was reported that South Indian actress, Raashii Khanna will play the female lead in the series. Confirming her inclusion, Applause Entertainment has brought the actress on board to star alongside Ajay. Recently, Esha Deol was also confirmed to reunite with Ajay in the series for the first time in 13 years. ## "I am very excited to be a part of Applause Entertainment's Rudra – The Edge of Darkness.
