Fauji 2: New Version of Shah Rukh Khan's Iconic TV Show Announced

New Delhi, October 15 - Filmmaker Sandeep Singh has collaborated with the national broadcaster Doordarshan to announce Fauji 2, the new version of Shah Rukh Khan-led iconic television series.## Directed by Abhinav Pareek, Fauji 2 will star Vicky Jain and Gauahar Khan in the leading roles and will introduce twelve new actors - Aashish Bhardwaj, Utkarsh Kohli, Rudra Soni, Amardeep Phogat, Ayaan Manchanda, Niel Satpuda, Suvansh Dhar, Priyanshu Rajguru, Aman Singh Deep, Udit Kapur, Maansi and Sushmita Bhandari.## The show will feature 11 songs with music composed by music director Shreyas Puranik. Sonu Nigam has lent his voice to the title track of Fauji 2, produced by Sandeep Singh and co-produced by Vicky Jain and Zafar Mehdi with Sameer Hallim as the Creative Head. ## The original show, Fauji was first aired in 1989 and was created by the legendary writer and producer, Lt. Col. Raj Kumar Kapoor. It revolved around the lives of Indian Army recruits, undergoing training at a military academy.## Fauji marked Shah Rukh Khan's television as well as his acting debut. He played the lead role of Abhimanyu Rai, a dedicated and determined soldier in training. Vishnu Puran to be re-telecasted from May 14 on DD Bharti

After Ramayan and Sri Krishna (DD National), Mahabharat (DD Bharti) 'Vishnu Puran' is all set to be re-telecasted on Doordarshan's DD Bharti from May 14 at 7:00 PM every day. 'Chhota Bheem' to air on Doordarshan amid COVID-19 lockdown

Mumbai, April 17 (IANS) The popular children's cartoon series, "Chhota Bheem", is all set to be back on the small screen amid the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown.## The animation, which has originally airs on Pogo and features the superhero Bheem, will go on-air on Doordarshan National from April 17 to May 3.## Currently, the Doordarshan channel is re-telecasting some of its old shows in order to keep people entertained amid the coronavirus lockdown. And with the return of over three-decade-old Hindu mythology show "Ramayan ", Doordarshan reportedly garnered over 170 million viewers in four episodes last week.## Announcing the partnership between Pogo and Doordarshan to rerun "Chhota Bheem", Siddharth Jain, managing director of WarnerMedia Entertainment Networks in South Asia, said: "These are challenging times and we believe that POGO's fun-filled, relatable content will keep kids engaged and entertained.
