'Kannappa' Official Release Date Locked

Hyderabad, November 25 - Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu's prestigious devotional action drama Kannappa is one of the keenly-awaited Telugu movies with big actors featuring in it. The movie is directed by Mahabharata fame Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Mohan Babu. ## Kannappa has been in the making since last year and the makers have now confirmed its release date. On Monday, Vishnu Manchu took to social media to announce that the film would be hitting worldwide cinemas on April 25, 2025, in multiple languages. After bringing Prabhas, Mohanlal, and Nayanthara on board to play cameo roles, the makers strike another gold. ## According to the latest Telugu media reports, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has been roped in to play a crucial cameo role in the film, joining the massive star cast. Hyderabad, February 10 - Lady superstar Samantha Ruth Prabhu's long-awaited historical romantic drama film "Shaakuntalam" has been dealing with multiple delays as far as the release date is concerned. The movie being VFX heavy is taking longer than expected time in the post-production. ## Directed by Gunasekhar, "Shaakuntalam" is now confirmed to hit big screens worldwide on April 14, 2023, in multiple languages. Kangana wrote in an Instagram story, "What a gratifying experience to watch Thalaivii, the best film of my career so far. Thalaivii is a theatrical experience, hopefully Hindi multiplexes will also play it. I am confident that it will bring audiences back to theatres". ## Meanwhile, Thalaivi producers Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shaailesh R Singh are holding a special screening for the film industry members back-to-back, showing confidence in their movie. They held a screening of the biopic for members of the Chennai film industry on Saturday (September 4) and another screening for the Hyderabad industry on Sunday (September 5). ## Not only for Tamil and Telugu industry members, but Thalaivii producers are also holding multiple screenings for the Hindi film industry members from Monday onwards. Even though the Hindi version of Thalaivi has only a two-week theatrical window, the makers are confident that the movie will bring audiences back to theaters. ## Directed by A. L. Kangana Ranaut Cheers As Multiplex Chains Agree To Screen Tamil And Telugu Versions Of Thalaivi

Mumbai, September 5, 2021: Actress Kangana Ranaut, who will be seen on the big screen in the upcoming movie Thalaivi, has praised multiplex chains for allowing the movie to screen in their theaters. The actress had earlier urged the multiplex chains to help each other during these tough times after multiplex owners refused to screen the movie as it has only two week theatrical window for the Hindi version. ## While multiplex chains won't screen Thalaivi's Hindi version, they agreed to screen Tamil and Telugu versions as they have four week theatrical window before going to Amazon Prime Video. Calling it a ray of hope, Kangana took to Twitter and said that she was moved by the decision and penned a long note. ## She wrote: "PVR's decision to screen the Tamil and Telugu versions of the film is a ray of hope for Team Thalaivii as well as all those cinegoers who are waiting to rush back to their favourite multiplex chain for a cinematic experience. I am personally moved by the kind words used for me and Team Thalaivii". ## The actress hopes that the Hindi version of the film also gets to see the light of day. "And I hope with talks, and a passion for the theatrical experience, we can come together to find a solution so that the Hindi version can also find love and appreciation on the big screen @pvrcinemas_official - Lots of Love, Kangana".## A statement on behalf of Kamal Gianchandani, CEO, PVR Pictures Ltd, Chief of Strategy, PVR Limited read, "We are thankful to 'Thalaivii' team for offering a 4 week theatrical window for its Tamil and Telugu language versions. We are delighted to be able to play 'Thalaivii' in Tamil and Telugu language at our cinemas, however, we are disappointed that for the Hindi language version, 'Thalaivii' team has decided to offer only a 2 week window". ## "We would like to appeal to Ms Kangana Ranaut, Mr Vishnu Induri & Mr. Shailesh Singh to keep a uniform window of 4 weeks across all language versions and therefore allow all cinemas across the country to showcase 'Thalaivii' to audiences, on the big screen. Considering the severe impact of the ongoing pandemic on our business, PVR cinemas has already agreed to reduce the 8 week theatrical window to 4 weeks, for all films releasing in the near future". ## "This is a temporary step by PVR cinemas to assist our producer partners in realizing full commercial potential of their films, while keeping the sanctity of theatrical experience, intact", the statement conclude. ## Thalaivii is a biopic based on the life of late Jayalalithaa, actress and former Tamil Nadu chief minister. Kangana Ranaut's Thalaivi In Trouble; Actress Urges Multiplexes To Help Each Other

Mumbai, September 3, 2021: Kangana Ranaut starrer Thalaivi, which is scheduled to release in theaters on September 10, has found itself in hot water. Producer Vishnu Vardhan Induri has decided to release the Hindi version of the film on Netflix only after two weeks of its theatrical release, which is not going well with theater owners. ## Disappointed with the makers' decision, the national multiplex chains have decided not to release the movie on multiplexes and have jointly chosen to insist on a minimum exclusive theatrical window of four weeks until normalcy returns. ## A top officer of a leading multiplex chain was quoted as saying, "Two weeks is simply not acceptable to us. If we make a concession in the case of one film (in this case, Thalaivii), another producer would ask for a similar or a new concession. This will never stop. We recently finalized our agreement with Yash Raj Films. That agreement also stipulates an exclusive cinema window of four weeks. After that, we will revert to the pre-pandemic 8-week theatrical window".## To this, Kangana took to her Instagram handle and shared a message for the multiplex owners, requesting them to help each other during the testing times. She wrote, "No films are choosing theatres, very few and very brave like my producers @vishnuinduri @shaaileshrsingh are compromising on huge profits and letting go of exclusive streaming options only for the love of cinema". ## "In these times we must support each other and not bully or arm-twist; it's our fundamental right to recover the cost of our film which we did, we may have two weeks window for Hindi version but for South, we have four weeks window yet multiplexes ganging up on us and stopping our release there as well…This is unfair and cruel in these testing times when major territories like Maharashtra are also shut…Please let's help each other in order to save theatres", she added. ## Thalaivi will also release in Tamil and Telugu. The south versions of Jayalalitha's biopic will stream on Amazon Prime Video after four weeks. The movie, directed by A. L.
