Prabhas' 'Kalki 2898 AD' North America Rights Sold For 50 Crore

Hyderabad, May 25 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD has landed its North America theatrical distribution with Prathyangira Cinemas and AA Creations for a huge sum. The movie is directed by Nag Ashwin and also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, and Kamal Haasan.## According to reports, Prathyangira Cinemas and AA Creations have acquired distribution rights for the sci-fi epic at a huge price of 50 crores for North America on a refundable advance basis. Hyderabad, May 17 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR and director Prashanth Neel announced their first film together, tentatively named NTR 31, a couple of years ago and since then, it has been one of the most anticipated films among the Pan Indian audiences. ## There hasn't been a concrete development about the film but things are moving in the right direction. The first part of the film Salaar: Ceasefire, which also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, was released in December 2023 and was one of the highest-grossing Indian films of the year with worldwide gross collection of over 600 crores. ## Ever since the last of Salaar: Ceasefire, there have been a lot of enquiries about the shoot of the second part, titled Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam, and now, there is a positive development on the same. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, Salaar 2 is set to go on floors by the end of May with a 10-day schedule at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. It is said that the script of the sequel has been enhanced based on the feedback for the first part and the makers are satisfied with the output. Prabhas and Prithviraj will join the first schedule of Salaar 2 which will focus on their rivalry. ## Produced by Hombale Films, a major part of Salaar 2 will be shot this year, with residual portions in the first quarter of 2025. Naga Chaitanya's 'Thandel' Post-Theatrical Digital Rights Sold To Netflix For Record 40 Crore

Hyderabad, April 29 - Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya reunited with director Chandoo Mondeti for a rustic love story action thriller Thandel which is scheduled to release theatrically later this year. The movie has Sai Pallavi as the female lead, reuniting with Chaitanya after Love Story (2021). ## Thandel is touted to be the best film of Naga Chaitanya and hence, not only in trade, the movie is in hot demand in digital and satellite. Recently, it was announced that Netflix acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of the movie and now, according to the latest Telugu media reports, the streamer has paid a whopping 40 crores for the same. ## The 40 crores deal with Netflix is the highest-ever digital deal for a Naga Chaitanya film which shows the anticipation for the movie among the audiences.
