'Spider-Man: No Way Home' Beats Odd To Swing Past Magical $1B At The Overseas Box Office

Mumbai, January 31 - Tom Holland-fronted "Spider-Man: No Way Home", amid the covid-19 pandemic and without a single penny from China, has crossed the magical $1 billion mark at the overseas box office. The superhero movie has now grossed $1.003B overseas over the 7th weekend, pushing the global total to a mighty $1.74 billion. ## The Marvel/Sony Pictures has now become only the 10th film of all time to reach $1 billion at the international box office. Without China, which is the biggest movie market in the world, "Spider-Man: No Way Home" is only the 6th title to achieve the feet. The movie currently stands at number 6 at the worldwide box office among the all-time highest grosser. ## "No Way Home" has also become the top-grossing superhero movie ever with a market cume of $120.1M in the United Kingdom, which is currently leading film's overseas box office, followed by Mexico with $74.4M, Korea at $61.5M, France at $61.2M, Australia with $55.2M, and Brazil at $53.8M. ## The Jon Watts-directed has beaten "Avengers: Endgame" in 19 international territories to become the highest-grossing title ever there, which are - the UK, Mexico, Croatia, Argentina, Belgium, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lithuania, Mongolia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Syria, Turkey, and Ukraine. ## In India, "No Way Home" is the second-biggest non-domestic film ever with $36.2 million. "Avengers: Endgame" is at number one with $63.00 M and will remain at the top. Joaquin Phoenix-Led 'Joker' Sequel Is Being Planned To Start Filming In 2023!

Mumbai, January 30 - Todd Phillips-directed, "Joker" movie starring Joaquin Phoenix, made some big waves upon its release in 2019. Los Angeles, Jan 21 (IANS) Network Apple has ordered a live-action Godzilla series from Legendary Television. ## According to Variety, the untitled series continues the story of the Legendary Monsterverse established in films like 'Kong: Skull Island' and 2014's 'Godzilla'. ## Following the battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking new reality that monsters are real, the series explores one family's journey to uncover its buried secrets and a legacy linking them to the secret organisation known as Monarch. ## Monarch is a secret government entity that has played a major role in the Monsterverse franchise, working to cover up the existence of and defend the world from creatures like Godzilla and the other Titans. ## Chris Black and Matt Fraction co-created the series with both executive producing. Black will also serve as showrunner. Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell of Safehouse Pictures will also executive produce along with Hiro Matsuoka and Takemasa Arita of Toho Co. Ltd. New Film Studio To Be Built In Space By 2024

Los Angeles, Jan 20 (IANS) Space Entertainment Enterprise (S.E.E), the company co-producing Tom Cruise's upcoming space movie, plans to launch a sports arena and production studio in space by 2024. ## S.E.E. has unveiled plans to build a space station module that contains a sports and entertainment arena as well as a content studio by December 2024, reports variety.com. ## Named SEE-1, the module is intended to host films, television, music and sports events as well as artists, producers and creatives who want to make content in the low orbit, micro-gravity environment. The facilities will enable development, production, recording, broadcasting and livestreaming of content. ## S.E.E. intend to produce its own content and events in the module as well as making it available to third-parties. ## Axiom Space, who in January 2022 won NASA's approval to build a commercial component of the International Space Station (ISS), will undertake the construction of SEE-1. The module will dock on Axiom's commercial arm, named Axiom Station, which will also host other commercial ventures, including space tourism. ## Axiom Station will then separate from the ISS in 2028. ## S.E.E., which was co-founded in the UK by entrepreneurs and producers Elena and Dmitry Lesnevsky, is currently planning a fundraising round. ## "SEE-1 is an incredible opportunity for humanity to move into a different realm and start an exciting new chapter in space," said Dmitry and Elena Lesnevsky in a statement. ## "It will provide a unique, and accessible home for boundless entertainment possibilities in a venue packed with innovative infrastructure which will unleash a new world of creativity.
