Mumbai, September 3 - Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted horror-comedy has achieved a major milestone in the PVR-Inox multiplex chain history by becoming only the third film to score 200 crores net collection. ## PVR Cinemas CEO Kamal Gianchandani took to social media to announce that the mega-blockbuster movie will celebrate 200 crores net box office collection tomorrow at PVR-Inox chain. 'Jawan' Becomes The Highest-Grossing Film In PVR-INOX Multiplex Chains

Mumbai, October 1 - Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's mega-blockbuster Jawan has become the highest net-grossing film ever in national multiplex chains PVR-INOX (combined). PVR Pictures was renamed PVR INOX Pictures after the completion of the merger between the two companies. ## Kamal Gianchandani, CEO at PVR INOX, announced on Twitter/X that "Jawan" has crossed 215 crores net collection in PVRINOX, becoming the highest-grossing film ever. Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra' Leads PVR's Earnings In Q2 of FY23

Mumbai, October 19 - PVR Ltd, the film exhibition company in India, has reported a net loss of Rs 71.49 crore in the second quarter of the financial year 2023. During the same quarter last year, the company reported a loss of Rs 153.27. ## PVR said in a regulatory filing that approx. 18 million (1.8 crores) patrons visited its cinemas during the quarter as the revenue from operations in the 2nd quarter stood at Rs 686.72 crore as compared to Rs 120.32 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. ## The company said in the statement that the underperformance of most Bollywood movies was the major reason behind the losses. Director Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra Part 1 - Shiva, however, led PVR's earnings during this period with Rs. 75.6 crores, followed by Marvel Studios' Thor: Love and Thunder with Rs. 42.10 crores. ## The highest-grossing South Indian movie at PVR property during the Q2FY23 was Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur's Sita Ramam Rs. 16.7 crores, followed by Karthikeya 2 with Rs. 14.7 crores. ## PVR reported that there was an 11 percent growth in the average ticket price at Rs 224, while spending on food and beverages grew by 31 percent per patron at Rs 129 compared to the pre-pandemic period of the second quarter FY20.## Top 5 movies at PVR during Q2FY23 - ## 1. PVR CEO Dismiss Negative Information About 'Brahmastra' Box Office Collection At PVR Cinemas

Mumbai, September 11 - Director Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra Part One: Shiva has been released in theaters and is doing phenomenal business at the box office, grossing over 150 crores worldwide in just 2 days. However, a section of people is spreading misinformation about the film's business by calling it fake. ## It was reported that PVR Cinema Chains lost 800 crores after the mixed reviews for the movie. However, the CEO of PVR, Kamal Gianchandani has dismissed such reports and even claimed that "Brahmastra" has been one of the best performing films this year in PVR Cinemas and it is only behind "KGF 2" and "RRR". ## In a series of tweets, Kamal Gianchandani cleared the misinformation about the film's box office collection. PVR Pictures Ties Up With 'Vikrant Rona' Makers To Distribute Hindi Version

Mumbai, May 20 - One of the most exciting Pan Indian films, "Vikrant Rona" starring Kichcha Sudeepa, is getting bigger and bigger with each passing day. The makers of this action-adventure film recently joined hands with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan to present the Hindi version. ## The makers have now tied up with one of the biggest multiplex chains in India, PVR Pictures to distribute the Hindi version of the film. Mumbai, October 29 - Ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli and the largest multiplex chain of India, PVR Cinemas has collaborated for a first-of-its-kind association for the upcoming magnum opus, RRR. As per the collaboration, PVR has decided to alter its brand identity and logo to the movie name RRR. Mumbai, October 22 - One of the leading multiplex chains in India, PVR Cinemas continues to increase its overall business properties. Having already 151 screens in the heartland of Hindi cinema, Maharashtra, PVR has now launched a new build six-screen luxury multiplex in Mumbai. ## Called Maison PVR, the new multiplex has been opened in Mumbai's Jio World Drive at BKC. The capacity of this luxury 6-screen multiplex is 882-seats, making it one of the largest multiplex in the area. PVR Cinemas now has 157 screens across 38 properties in Maharashtra. ## "Innovation and improvisation are in the DNA of our business which has echoed through our every offering. It is a proud moment for us to finally introduce our unique concept to the audience after the unprecedented times we battled through", said Ajay Bijli, the chairman and managing director of PVR Ltd. ## The luxury property will house two new LUXE screens and one viewing room for private screenings. The theater also features lounges, libraries with art, grand living rooms, and open kitchens with premium food concepts.## "PVR Maison is inspired by the French archetype and was born out of the quest to explore deeper and newer facets of luxury. PVR Reopens Its Oldest Property Delhi's PVR Priya In The Luxury Format

Delhi, August 26, 2021: One of the leading multiplex chains in India, PVR Cinemas has reopened its oldest cinema property, PVR Priya in New Delhi in the luxury format. The iconic single-screen cinema was first launched in 1978 by the PVR chain.## The renovated cinema property was launched on Wednesday (August 25) in the P[XL] format at Vasant Vihar in New Delhi as a part of the compancy's Urban Placements initiative. P[XL] is the multiplex chain's luxury format that is equipped with giant screens, enhanced sound, laser technology, and other advanced in-cinema features.## The urban place-making project at PVR Priya Complex, Vasant Vihar was done in association with local municipal authorities, Basant Lok Market Association, and Urban Planners.
