Hyderabad, December 18 - The makers of superstar Prabhas-fronted The Raja Saab have shared a statement on social media on the rumours regarding the film's teaser and shooting details. There have been rumours that the teaser would be released during the Christmas or New Year weekend which the makers have denied. ## The film is produced by People Media Factory which wrote on X, "#TheRajaSaab shooting is progressing rapidly with continuous day and night schedules. Nearly 80% of the shoot has been completed, and post-production work is in full swing".## "We’ve noticed various speculations circulating about the teaser release during Christmas or New Year. We kindly request you not believe these false rumours. We will officially announce any updates at the right time", the studio said in the post. ## Meanwhile, there have been reports that The Raja Saab will be postponed from April 10 release after the recent change in the release dates of other movies. While the makers didn't mention such a development, the studio seemingly re-confirmed the April 10 release with a hashtag, #TheRajaSaabOnApril10th on X. ## However, as reported earlier, the Maruthi's directorial romantic horror comedy will be heavy on VFX and there are chances it might get postponed to a new date but things will become clear after the shoot compilation. Hyderabad, December 18 - Pan India superstar Prabhas will next be seen in the romantic horror comedy The Raja Saab. The movie, directed by Maruthi, was announced for a multi-lingual release on April 10, 2025, however, there is a change in the plans. ## According to the latest Telugu media reports, The Raja Saab is set to be postponed and the announcement for the same will be made soon. The reports emerged after DJ Tillu fame Siddhu Jonnalagadda's action thriller Jack announced an April 10 release, and it is said that the date was discussed with the makers of Prabhas-starrer. ## The Raja Saab is produced by People Media Factory on a massive budget and it will feature a lot of CGI shots which is also one of the reasons for the film's postponement. Hyderabad, December 17 - Superstar Prabhas-fronted Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire was one of the biggest Indian grossers of 2023 and now, it has turned out to be a huge success on the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar as well in the dubbed Hindi version. ## The Hindi version of Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel, was acquired by Hotstar while the other versions streamed on Netflix. Since its digital release on February 16 this year, the Hindi version of the film has continuously been trending in the top 10 in India. ## It has been continuous more than 300 days for the movie in the top 10 on Hotstar, making it the first film ever to do so. While the viewership numbers are not provided, Salaar is easily the most-watched Indian title on Hotstar and this is building up the excitement for its sequel which is due to hit big screens in 2026. ## Salaar is produced by Hombale Films which will bankroll three more films, including Salaar 2, of Prabhas in the next few years. The success of Salaar's Hindi version, both at the box office and on streaming, gives the studio a chance to plan bigger things for the sequel just like KGF: Chapter 2, and the makers have promised the same. ## The film stars Prabhas in the titular role alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, and Sriya Reddy in key roles. Set in the fictional dystopian city-state of Khansaar, where monarchy still exists, the film follows the friendship between Deva (Prabhas), the exiled prince of Khansaar, and Varadha (Prithviraj Sukumaran), the current prince of Khansaar. Mumbai, December 14 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's maiden collaboration with the Pan India star Prabhas, Spirit is gearing up to commence filming early next year, and ahead of that, the makers are in the process of locking big names from Hindi film industry. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, director Sandeep Vanga is in talks with Mrunal Thakur for the female lead role opposite Prabhas. At the same time, the conversation is on with Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, who are a real-life couple, to play the negative roles in Spirit. ## "Spirit is one the most ambitious and awaited films of Indian Cinema, and the makers are going all out to have the best and most talented actors of world cinema on board. Hyderabad, December 13 - Superstar Allu Arjun's mega-blockbuster Pushpa 2 - The Rule has beaten Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD to become the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024. Both movies have grossed over 1000 crores worldwide and are the only Indian films of the year to do so. ## Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 has grossed approximately 1060 crores globally, including 867 crores gross in India, in its extended 8-day first weekend, surpassing the lifetime total of Kalki which minted approximately 1042 crores gross, including 767 crores gross domestically. Overseas, Kalki is still the biggest Indian grosser with 275 crores gross. ## Pushpa 2 has also beaten Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan (1055 crores gross) to become the 6th highest-grossing Indian movie of all time at the worldwide box office. Mumbai, December 12 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and superstar Prabhas are teaming up for the first time for an action thriller film titled Spirit. It is one of the most anticipated Indian movies in the making and will show Prabhas playing the role of a cop for the first time in his career.## The shoot of Spirit is expected to kick off early next year, and ahead of the production commencement, a short synopsis of the film has seemingly been revealed. According to Letterboxd, Spirit is about "A disgraced cop, determined to regain his job, hunts down a ruthless international crime syndicate".## Interestingly, during the promotion of Animal (2023), Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed that the protagonist in Spirit comes from a middle-class background, in contrast to both Animal and Arjun Reddy (2017), where the male leads belonged to wealthy families. Mumbai, December 8 - Allu Arjun's mega-blockbuster Pushpa 2 - The Rule has beaten Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD to score the biggest opening weekend for an Indian title of 2024 at the overseas box office while also claiming the biggest weekend ever for an Indian film globally. ## Pushpa 2 is estimated to score $19+ million (161+ crores gross) in its 4-day weekend, beating Kalki's $17.75 million (150+ crores gross) and it will most likely finish the year as the number 1 weekend grosser of the year which will be the first time in Allu Arjun's career.## Directed by Sukumar, the blockbuster has stormed the North American box office and scored an estimated $9.50 million during its extended opening weekend, including Wednesday previews. Hyderabad, November 25 - Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu's prestigious devotional action drama Kannappa is one of the keenly-awaited Telugu movies with big actors featuring in it. Hyderabad, November 24 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD is one of the biggest Indian blockbusters of 2024 with over 1000 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office. The movie, directed by Nag Ashwin, is the first instalment in a planned Kalki Cinematic Universe in which some details are revealed. ## During a recent media interaction, producer Swapna Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies revealed that they have already shot around 30-35% of Kalki 2 during the filming of the first part. The pre-production for the second part is in progress. ## The filmmaker also confirmed that Deepika Padukone will continue to play the role of mother in the second part as well.
