Mumbai, February 13 - Legendary director Christopher Nolan's epic sci-fi adventure Interstellar re-release has proved to be a masterstroke for Warner Bros. Pictures as the movie has become the highest-grossing Hollywood re-release grosser at the Indian box office. ## The film, starring Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway, was re-released in Indian cinemas on February 7 for a limited period of just 7 days. This short run proved to be enough for the movie to beat the maverick director James Cameron's all-time great Titanic 3D re-release gross collection of 18 crores. ## In the 6 days so far, Interstellar has grossed approximately 18+ crores, making it the number 1 Hollywood repeat title in India. In its original release back in 2014, the film was a big success with a gross collection of around 42 crores or $6.85 million (without adjusting to inflation), according to Box Office Mojo. ## At the worldwide box office, Interstellar has grossed $759.4 million, including $681 million in its original run. Los Angeles, February 20 - James Cameron's Avatar: The Way of Water has officially raced past his own Titanic to become the third highest-grossing film ever at the global box office. ## The sci-fi sequel, released in December last year, has grossed $2.243 billion through 10th Sunday. Titanic, which had grossed $2.194 billion worldwide before a global 3D rerelease earlier this month, now stands at $2.242 billion globally as 4th highest-grossing title ever.## Avatar 2 has raked in $657 million at the domestic (North America) box office, becoming the 9th biggest movie of all time there. Overseas, it has scored $1.59 billion over 52 markets. Los Angeles, February 12 - It's James Cameron up against himself at the box office, but for now, his latest blockbuster "Avatar: The Way of Water" has edged past "Titanic" to become the 3rd highest-grossing film of all time. ## The sci-fi epic sequel is continuing its love affair with the box office as it topped $2.20 billion globally through the 9th Friday. With this, "Avatar 2" has surpassed "Titanic's" $2.19 billion, however, the latter may reclaim that spot as it is having a re-release worldwide to commemorate its 25th anniversary. ## For now, "Avatar 2" is the 3rd biggest movie ever, behind only "Avatar" ($2.91 billion) and "Avengers: Endgame" ($2.80 billion).
