Mumbai, April 26 - Superstar Akshay Kumar's historical drama Kesari: Chapter 2 is heading towards a decent second weekend after showing a very good jump on the second Saturday. Earlier, the movie benefited from the BOGO offer on Friday, where the collection was higher than on Thursday. ## On the second Saturday (9th day), Kesari 2 has shown a solid growth of around 75% from Friday, as early estimates suggest the collection to be in the range of 6.75-7.25 crores net. The second weekend is heading towards 19-20 crores net with a drop of only 30%-35% from the opening weekend, which is a solid hold. ## The total collection of the movie after the second Saturday is around 57 crores net, on track for 66 crores (+/-) through the second Sunday. The hugely positive word of mouth has kept Kesari 2 super steady in its collection after the opening weekend, which is a positive sign for its longevity. ## There will be Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 next weekend, but glowing WOM is likely to keep Kesari 2 getting its share. Depending on how the new releases perform, the Akshay Kumar-starrer will have a chance to enter the 100 crores net club in the long run, and that would be a big success for the film. ## Stay tuned...

Hyderabad, April 25 - Telugu superstar Allu Arjun and director Atlee have teamed up for an ambitious sci-fi film, tentatively called AA22xA6. Produced by Sun Pictures on a budget of over 600 crores, the movie was recently announced, which set the buzz on fire. ## According to the latest report by Peepingmoon.com, the makers have locked Muranl Thakur to play the female lead role opposite Allu Arjun in this mega biggie. The actress underwent a look test at a Mumbai studio yesterday to play one of the film's three female leads. ## Apart from Mrunal, the makers are in talks with Janhvi Kapoor and Deepika Padukone for the other two lead roles. While it is said that Janhvi is almost locked, negotiations with Deepika are still ongoing, and the actress is expected to come on board soon. ## AA22xA6 is envisioned as a high-concept, VFX-driven actioner set in a parallel universe in which Allu Arjun plays his career-first double role. Mumbai, April 25 - Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise's highly-awaited spy action thriller Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is set to hit the Indian cinemas 6 days earlier than the domestic (North America) release, Paramount India confirmed on Friday. ## The eighth instalment in this long-running franchise has been announced to release in India on May 17 in English, Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil languages. It will be released in the regular as well as 4dx and IMAX formats, just like the previous films of the franchise. ## Mission: Impossible 8 is directed by Christopher McQuarrie, and it is possibly the final movie in this blockbuster series. Chennai, April 25 - Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar's action comedy Good Bad Ugly is nearing the 250 crores mark at the global box office, as at the end of the second week (15 days), it has grossed around 237 crores which includes around 172 crores domestic collection. ## GBU has already become the highest-grossing Tamil movie of the year and also the biggest grosser of Ajith Kumar. In this process, the blockbuster movie has emerged as the actor's biggest hit in the home state, Tamil Nadu, by beating Viswasam. ## Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, GBU has scored approximately 144.50 crores gross in Tamil Nadu in 15 days, making it the biggest grosser for the AK in the state. Mumbai, April 22 - Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's epic romantic drama Love & War might be delayed from its original March 2026 release. The film starring Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal is currently under production. ## The shoot of Love & War kicked off last year, and the makers announced a March 20, 2026, release. According to the latest report by The Hollywood Reporter India, the current shooting timeline of the film involves a mega war sequence, which the director will mount on a huge scale. ## After the war sequence is filmed, which will only reportedly happen in November this year, the makers aim to wrap the entire filming by January 2026. Given the delay in the shoot, it will be almost impossible for the team to complete the post-production in 2 months and release the film in March, per THR India.## Given all the aforementioned situations, the film is most likely to be delayed. Interestingly, Yash-fronted Toxic was recently confirmed for March 20, 2026, release in multiple languages, and that might be the first indication of Love and War getting delayed. ## Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor and Yash have teamed up for the first time for the epic Ramayana, in which the former plays the role of Lord Rama while Yash features as Ravana. Mumbai, April 22 - Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan has reunited with Karan Johar's Dharma Production for a creature comedy Naagzilla. The movie has been in the news for the past few weeks, and the makers officially confirmed it with the first look poster and release date. ## Naagzilla will be directed by the Fukrey director, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and it will hit the big screen on August 14, 2026, ahead of Independence Day and Nag Panchami. The film, Kartik Aaryan will play the role of a Snake-Man, and he will be fighting the snakes in the movie.## The upcoming film is a one-of-a-kind creature comedy in Indian cinema. Both Kartik and Lamba have proven their talent in the comedy space, and the duo is excited to collaborate for the first time in Naagzilla. The movie is currently in pre-production and is expected to start rolling by August/September this year.## Naagzilla, produced by Dharma Production and Mahaveer Jain Films, will clash with Varun Dhawan's Bhediya 2, which is also a creature comedy from Maddock Films. Mumbai, April 22 - Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has been trying to bring the epic historical tale Mahabharata on the big screen for a long time, and after years of planning, the actor is planning to start working on it by this year itself.## During the latest interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, the Dangal star provided some updates on his dream project, which he will take on as a producer and is likely to act. Setting his sights on the film that he calls one of his big ambitions, AK said that he hopes to start work on it this year.## The actor-filmmaker further revealed that the project will be made in multiple parts, and when asked about the director, he refused to give names but confirmed that it may be directed by multiple directors as he plans to film all the parts simultaneously. ## Aamir clarified that the writing process of the movie will take a couple of years before they take it to the floors. It is said that the actor's Mahabharata project will be mounted on a massive budget of over 1000 crores and will be made on a large scale, unlike any other Indian film.## Meanwhile, Aamir is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited comedy drama Sitaare Zameen Par, which is the Hindi adaptation of the Spanish film Champions (2018).
