Mumbai, July 23 - There seems to be no stopping Saiyaara, which continues its historic run at the box office since its release on July 18. After a stellar opening weekend and an impressive hold on its first Monday, the Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda-starrer has taken another leap on Tuesday, posting even higher collections. ## According to early estimates, Saiyaara has collected in the range of 24–26 crore net on Day 5 (Tuesday), witnessing a 5%–10% jump from Monday. The romantic drama benefited significantly from the discounted ticket pricing offer, driving footfalls across urban and mass belts. ## With this jump, the film is now challenging the Tuesday collection of Vicky Kaushal’s blockbuster Chhaava, which earned 25.25 crore on its first Tuesday. It may even come close to Saiyaara's own Saturday figures (26 crore net), depending on where the actuals land. ## Importantly, average occupancy has remained strong at around 50%, which has been a rare case this year. As of the end of Tuesday, Saiyaara has amassed 132+ crore net domestically. With two more days left in the week, the film is expected to finish its first-week total with 160 crore or more — the highest-ever for a debutant-led Indian film. ## Advance bookings for Wednesday are also reportedly excellent, pointing toward another big day ahead. Mumbai, July 22 - Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda’s romantic drama Saiyaara continues its dream run at the box office. After delivering a historic opening weekend, the film held firm on its first Monday, scoring the joint biggest first Monday of the year with Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava, domestically. ## Directed by Mohit Suri, Saiyaara netted approximately 24 crore (28 crore gross) in India on Monday, bringing its 4-day India total to 107.25 crore net (approx. 128 crore gross). The movie also had an excellent day at the overseas box office, bringing 6 crores on Monday for a total international collection of around 23 crores. With an additional ₹26 crore coming from the overseas markets, Saiyaara has now amassed an impressive ₹161 crore gross worldwide in just four days. ## Saiyaara beats lifetime worldwide collection of Kesari: Chapter 2 and Sky Force ## After four days, the Yash Raj Films production has grossed approximately 151 crores, which is enough to top the lifetime worldwide grosses of Akshay Kumar's Sky Force and Kesari 2, which earned 150 crores and 145 crores, respectively. ## That makes Saiyaara not just a breakout debut for its newcomers but also one of the fastest Bollywood films to outpace the global lifetime collections of star-driven titles this year. Moments like these pull us deep into Gevi’s world. ##Mandharai goes into labour, but with no hospital or proper transport available in their remote village, she must be carried downhill in a makeshift cradle. Her pain exposes a deeper truth: the quiet cruelty of being neglected by a system that offers no safety net. Her suffering reflects the kind of oppression born from inaction and apathy — where the absence of help becomes its own form of violence, especially against women in crisis. ##Meanwhile, Malaiyan’s torture at the hands of the police highlights a different kind of brutality — one that comes from force and control. He dares to speak up against injustice, and the system answers with beatings and threats. His pain stands for every voice crushed for demanding dignity. Together, their struggles show how oppression works in two ways: by failing to help, and by punishing those who ask for help. ##Though the film includes the familiar “good cop, bad cop” trope, it feels unnecessary. The presence of kind-hearted characters elsewhere in the story already proves that the system has good people — but when one “good apple” is placed in a rotten bunch, it risks weakening the film’s stronger message. ##The recurring use of oppari (folk lament) adds to the emotional weight, but also reflects the contradictions within the community and their fight for justice. At times, the film quietly suggests that the people may share some responsibility for their condition, but Tamil Dhayalan handles this with care, never losing sight of their dignity. ##Despite a few flaws, it’s the performances that carry Gevi forward. Sheela Rajkumar and Aadhavan are magnetic, and Vivek Mohan as Mandharai’s brother adds strength to the story. There’s a rawness in every frame that makes the film feel real — not like it’s trying to entertain the privileged, but like it’s telling a truth that needs to be heard. ##In the end, Gevi doesn’t just show a couple’s fight for life — it shows an entire community’s battle for basic rights, love, and hope.

The Mohit Suri directorial starring debutante Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda is looking unstoppable after the historic first weekend. ## Saiyaara stays strong on first Monday ## After the front-loaded first weekend, there were doubts that Saiyaara might see a drop, but that is not the case here. The trend so far suggests that the film is coming very close to the opening day figures (21.25 crores net) as it eyes at least 20 crores collection today. ## At the moment, Saiyaara is looking at a negligible drop of around 5% today from Friday, and there might be no drop if the night shows remain solid. Mumbai, July 21 - Hollywood star Brad Pitt has pulled off a cinematic masterstroke with his racing sports drama F1 Movie, which has crossed the 100 crore gross milestone at the Indian box office. Despite fierce competition from Yash Raj Films' Saiyaara, which has taken the box office by storm, F1 remained solid in its fourth week so far. ## A Surprising Success Story ## Directed by Joseph Kosinski, F1 released with moderate buzz but has far exceeded expectations with its remarkable box office run. Before Saiyaara, the film was already facing intense competition from Hollywood blockbusters like Jurassic World Rebirth and Superman, as well as major Indian titles. Yet, F1 managed to do the unthinkable and is now racing into the 100 crore gross club. ## F1 enters 100 crores gross club in 26 days ## After the fourth weekend (24 days) at the Indian box office, F1 scored approximately 98 crore gross ($11.4 million). By its 26th day — the fourth Tuesday — the film officially joined the elite 100 crore gross club, becoming only the third Hollywood film in 2025 to do so, after Jurassic World Rebirth and Mission: Impossible – Final Reckoning. ## Notably, F1 is one of the rare Hollywood titles to earn (so far) nearly 15 times its opening day collection, making it one of the most impressive box office success stories of the year in the country. ## F1 surpassed $450 million at the worldwide box office ## The Warner Bros. production has been a hit globally, racing past $450 million in worldwide grosses after its fourth weekend. The domestic (North American) gross stands at $153.6 million, while the overseas earnings have reached $307.2 million — taking the global total to a stunning $460.8 million.## China is the biggest international market for F1 with $45.5 million, followed by the United Kingdom with $24.6 million, France with $20.8 million, Mexico with $17.4 million, and Australia with $15.2 million. Los Angeles, July 21 - The Hollywood film industry is currently riding high on back-to-back box office successes, with recent titles like F1, Jurassic World Rebirth, and Superman drawing in huge crowds. The upcoming lineup through the year is looking promising, with several titles expected to score big numbers. ## The spotlight shifts to Marvel Studios’ much-anticipated release, Fantastic Four: First Steps — the second reboot of the iconic superhero franchise, which is generating solid buzz ahead of its theatrical debut. According to a report by Deadline, pre-sales for First Steps are already tracking ahead of Marvel's own Thunderbolts and Captain America: Brave New World, setting the stage for a promising domestic opening. ## Disney is reportedly projecting a conservative $100 million to $110 million debut weekend in North America. However, independent box office trackers are far more optimistic, estimating an opening between $125 million and $145 million. The higher projection, however, might not (or may be) turn into reality as pre-sales are reportedly around 20% behind DC's Superman, which recently debuted with $123 million. But if the reviews are positive, the higher opening is very much expected. ## The Fantastic Four franchise has historically seen lukewarm openings. The last instalment, 2015's Fantastic Four, opened with just $25 million domestically, and the highest opener in the series remains 2007's Rise of the Silver Surfer, which collected $58 million, only marginally higher than the $56 million earned by the 2005 original. ## Still, with the Marvel Cinematic Universe's brand power and a fresh creative direction, Fantastic Four: First Steps is poised to breathe new life into the franchise and is set to deliver its biggest opening yet. As Hollywood continues to stack up major wins this summer, all eyes are now on Marvel’s First Family to keep the momentum going. ## About The Fantastic Four: First Steps ## Directed by Matt Shakman, The First Steps is intended to be the 37th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn as the titular team, alongside Julia Garner, Natasha Lyonne, Paul Walter Hauser, and Ralph Ineson.
