Box Office: Tadap Packs A Solid Punch At The BO In The Opening Weekend

Mumbai, December 6 - Ahan Shetty's Bollywood debut kicks off to a promising note as the newcomer's "Tadap" put up a strong total at the box office over the first weekend. Released on December 3, "Tadap" netted Rs. 13.52 crores in the first three days, which is a great result of a debutante, even in the pre-covid level. ## The Sajid Nadiadwala's production, also featuring Tara Sutaria as the female lead, opened to Rs. 4.05 crores on Friday with a slight jump (1.79%) on Saturday for Rs. 4.12 crores. For the Sunday holiday, "Tadap" jumped by nearly 30% for a healthy Rs. 5.35 crores, taking its 3-day total to Rs. 13.52 crores.## Directed by Milan Lutharia, "Tadap" was way ahead of Salman Khan, Ayush Sharma, and Mahima Makawana-starrer "Antim: The Final Truth", which netted an estimated total of Rs. 5.48 crores over the second weekend. However, "Antim" showed growth over the second weekend, taking its 10-days total India net to Rs. 34.83 crores and worldwide gross to Rs. 47.2 crores (approx.). ## Made in a budget of around Rs. 20 crores, "Tadap" has so far grossed approx Rs. 19 crores worldwide. The box office collection so far for the remake of the Telugu movie "RX100" is a big relief for the Bollywood film industry. It was a question mark on the film's success considering the covid-19 pandemic and a new face leading it. All the doubts are gone now, and the eyes will be on how it performs over the weekdays for the healthy first week total. ## Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar-fronted "Sooryavanshi" is going strong at the box despite being available on Netflix. The Rohit Shetty-directed netted an estimate of Rs. 85 lakh on the 5th Sunday (31st day) to finish the 5th weekend with Rs. 1.87 crores. Mumbai, December 3 - Salman Khan and Ayush Sharma-starrer "Antim: The Final Truth" seems to have found its audiences over the opening week at the box office. Even the numbers are still low as compared to the pre-covid level, the action entertainer still managed to put more than a decent total in the first week with a net collection of Rs. 29.35 crores. ## Directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, "Antim: The Final Truth" generally received positive reviews from critics and fans alike, which helped it to remain steady at the box office through weekdays, making it the second biggest Bollywood grosser in the first week in 2021. It netted Rs. 18.61 crores in the opening weekend, which is the second-best after "Sooryavanshi" (Rs. 77.08 cr.) in 2021. ## Overseas, "Antim" has managed to gross approx Rs. 6.35 crores in the first 6 days, which takes its total worldwide gross to Rs. 38.50 crores. Box Office: Sooryavanshi Crosses '2.0' After Putting A Strong Show

Mumbai, December 2 - Akshay Kumar-fronted "Sooryavasnhi" is marching alone at the box office and attracting footfalls even towards the end of the 4th week and in between the competition with Salman Khan-starrer "Antim: The Final Truth".## The Rohit Shetty-directed cop drama netted an estimated 51 lakh on its 27th day (4th Wednesday), taking its total India net collection to Rs. 190.87 crores. The Wednesday collection helps "Sooryavanshi" to cross the lifetime total of "2.0" (Hindi), which netted 190.48 crores. Akshay played an antagonist the sci-fi actioner against protagonist Rajinikanth. It becomes Akshay's 4th highest-earning film at the Indian box office and will most probably finish with that spot.## Surpassing "2.0's" Hindi total is a big achievement for the makers considering the fact that it was released amid the covid-19 pandemic with 50% theater capacity in Maharasthra and some of the other states. The movie, however, was expected to do well at the box office, and one would say, it has succeeded the expectations of trade analysts. ## Produced by Reliance Entertainment, Rohit Shetty Picturez, Dharma Productions, and Cape of Good Films, "Sooryavanshi" took a solid opening of Rs. 77.08 crores over the first weekend. Mumbai, November 29 - Salman Khan's "Antim: The Final Truth" passes the crucial Monday test by maintaining a stronghold at the box office. The Mahesh Manjrekar-directed dropped just 35.58% from Friday (₹ 5.03 cr.) for the Monday collection of ₹ 3.24 crores. ## Also starring Ayush Sharma and Mahima Makawana in the main roles, "Antim: The Final Truth" has earned ₹ 21.85 crores net so far. It has had more than a decent opening weekend, in which it grossed ₹ 22 crores through the first three days (Fri-Sun). Maharashtra and Gujarat showed a better trend than the other states.## "Antim: The Final Truth" is on track for ₹ 28 crores net in the opening week, which is going to be a decent run considering competition with "Sooryavanshi" and "Satyameva Jayate 2". Box Office: Salman Khan's 'Antim' Jumps On Sunday To Finish The Opening Weekend On A Decent Note

Mumbai, November 28 - Superstar Salman Khan's extended screen presence in "Antim: The Final Truth" has helped the film to end the opening weekend on a decent note at the box office. Directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, "Antim" opened over this weekend on Friday (November 26). ## With Aayush Sharma and Mahima Makawana in the lead roles, the movie netted ₹ 5.03 cr on Friday (slightly lower than expected). The strong word of mouth and positive critics reviews came to the party as the movie jumped by 19.88% (₹ 6.03) on Saturday and then by 25.21% on Sunday for ₹ 7.55 crores, for a 3-day total of ₹ 18.61 crores.## While the producers won't be too disappointed with the box office outcome of "Antim" so far, it was, however, expected to do much more than it actually did. The family audience is still hesitating to visit theaters despite the positive trend towards cinema-going. ## Meanwhile, on the other hand, John Abraham-starrer "Satyameva Jayate 2", which was released a day earlier on November 25, performed low over the opening weekend for an estimated 4-day total of ₹ 10.45 Cr. Despite seeing a slight jump on Sunday, the sequel to 2018's film fell well short of what the producers had expected from it at the box office. ## Yash Raj Films' "Bunty Aur Babli 2", is another film that didn't find its audience and was rejected at the box office. Starring Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Sharvari Wagh, and Siddhant Chaturvedi, the sequel to 2005's hit film, netted just ₹ 11.9 crores in the opening week in India, starting from November 19.
