Mumbai, June 8 - Superstar Akshay Kumar's Housefull 5 has a very good opening weekend at the domestic box office after another solid day on Sunday, as collections are in the same range as Saturday, with estimates suggesting collection to be 31-32 crores net. ## Normally, Bollywood film scores jump in collection on Sundays over Saturdays, but in the case of Housefull 5, there was a holiday on Saturday due to Bakrid, which boosted the collection to some extent. The holiday factor balanced things up otherwise, the movie could have soon a 10%-15% jump today. ## The opening weekend collection (86-87 crores net) of Housefull 5 is now the biggest first weekend for Akshay Kumar after the Covid-19 pandemic, beating Sooryavanshi (77 crores net). ## The trend for the movie during the opening weekend has been very good, which shows it has found acceptance among the moviegoers despite the mixed critics' reviews. 'Housefull 5' Eyes Record Opening In The Franchise

Mumbai, June 6 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar-led comedy entertainer Housefull 5 hits the big screen today, June 6, amid huge anticipation. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, it is the costliest film of the franchise, and the expectations are huge from this at the box office. ## Housefull 5 scored one of the biggest advances of the year for a Bollywood title, with approximately 2.50 lakh tickets sold worth approximately 8 crore gross collection (without block seat) for the opening day. Mumbai, May 26 - Producer Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, in association with Zee Studios, has announced the new release date of Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri-fronted Dhadak, which is the sequel to 2018's Dhadak, starring Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor. ## On Monday (May 26), the studio took to social media to drop the first look poster, confirming that the movie will hit the big screen on August 1 this year. In one of the posters, Siddhant is seen with fire in his eyes, embracing Triptii in a protective grip. The second poster presents a close-up of Triptii’s character, her expression tender yet resolved as she clings to the man she loves. ## The tagline in the posters reads, "Marne aur ladne mese ek ko chunna ho, toh ladna", which translates to, "If you ever have to choose between dying or fighting, then choose to fight", which reflects the film's tone and theme. ## Directed by Shazia Iqbal, Dhadak 2 is said to be the remake of 2018's Tamil movie, Pariyerum Perumal. Mumbai, May 23 - Producer Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films is turning 2019's hit rom-com Luka Chuppi into a franchise and has put its sequel under development with a new leading cast, replacing Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon from the original movie. ## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, Maddock has roped in Varun Dhawan and Sharvari Wagh to headline Luka Chuppi 2. Both actors have reportedly given their preliminary approval and are expected to formally sign on once the script is finalised in the coming months. ## The report further said that the sequel will be different from the original movie, with a supernatural twist in its comedic narrative. It will retain the humorous tone but will have an entirely different storyline from the first movie, which was centred on a couple navigating a live-in relationship complicated by the arrival of their traditional families. ## While the director's name is not revealed yet, Luka Chuppi 2 will reportedly be directed by one of the associates of Laxman Utekar who directed the first film.
