Yash Raj Films To Roll Out Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' In Overseas Markets: Report

Mumbai, February 26 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has teamed with Tiger Shroff for a big-ticket actioner Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The movie is produced by Pooja Entertainment and also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in the villain role.## With one and a half months left for the release, BMCM is already among the most anticipated Bollywood films and now, it has reportedly received a huge boost in its pursuit to get a wide release in international markets where it is expected to do well at the box office. ## According to Bollywood Hungama, the makers of BMCM have collaborated with Aditya Chopra's Yash Raj Films to roll the movie out in overseas territories. YRF has been a leading distributor of Bollywood movies outside India and producers Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani are confident that they'll get the best of screens through YRF. ## YRF has had huge success in 2023 with the blockbuster outcome of its Pathaan and Red Chillies Entertainment production Jawan in overseas markets. Both the movies combined grossed close to 800 crores outside India, yielding rich dividends to the studio. YRF also released Dunki, and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, among others in 2023 and had success with them. ## Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is expected to continue the winning streak for YRF. It is produced by Jackky Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Himanshu Kishan Mehra under the banners of Pooja Entertainment and AAZ Films. Box Office: Article 370 First Sunday/Third Day Early Estimates

Mumbai, February 25 - Yami Gautam-fronted Article 370 has had a very good first weekend at the domestic box office, scoring around 23 crores net over 3 days. In an encouraging sign, the films showed good growth over the weekend. ## According to early estimates, the political thriller minted 9.50-10 crores net collection on its first Sunday. The jump is around 25% from Saturday collection of approximately 7.50 crores net which is a very good improvement for a movie with limited audiences. ## It will be a litmus test for the movie on Monday which is considered a make-or-break day as far as the box office prospects. Article 370 has been getting wide appreciation among audiences and with the kind of subject it has, the movie is in a good position to do well but how far it can go will be known only after Monday test. ## Meanwhile, Vidyut Jammwal's sports actioner Crakk failed to score a jump on Sunday after an underwhelming Saturday. Box Office: Article 370 and Crakk Second Day/First Saturday Early Estimates

Mumbai, February 24 - After a good first day, Yami Gautam-starrer Article 370 shows a very good spike of around 30% on its second day. The jump today is a huge positive sign for the film as the opening day collection came due to discounted prices but today the film has normal rates. ## According to early estimates, the political thriller scored an estimated 7.50 (+/-) crores net collection, taking the total cume to approximately 13.40 crores net in two days. The movie has set itself up for a big Sunday as the first weekend looks to be around 22-25 crores net. ## The opening of the film was encouraging with discounted ticket prices but there were doubts about whether it could hold the collection with normal rates. Not only has the movie shown a very good jump with regular prices but also indicates a long run though a lot will depend on Monday's hold. ## Meanwhile, Vidyut Jammwal's sports actioner Crakk, after the good first day with discounted prices, dropped on its second as it scored an estimated 2.75-3 crores net collection. Though a drop was expected with normal rates as initial word of mouth for the movie is mixed, it would have been nice had it finished close to the opening day figures which is not the case. ## The total collection after two days is around 7 crores net. Box Office: Article 370 and Crakk Opening Day Early Estimates

Mumbai, February 23 - Yami Gautam-starrer political thriller Article 370 and Vidyut Jammwal's sports actioner Crakk have a good start at the box office as both the movies combined scored in the range of 10 crores mark with discounted price on the account of cinema lovers day. ## Article 370, which had outstanding advances, was the biggest Indian movie of the day as it scored an estimated 5.50-6 crores net on its first day. The discounted price offer has done good for the movie as it is getting a positive reception. ## Word of mouth for the film is spreading rapidly which was clearly seen in the evening and night shows with higher occupancy. Yami Gautam's 'Article 370' Set For A Good Opening At The Box Office

Mumbai, February 22 - Yami Gautam and Priyamani-starrer political thriller Article 370 is headed for a good start at the box office. Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale is scheduled to hit screens on February 23. ## The film is seeing an excellent response in advance sales which comes as a big surprise to many, however, the pre-sales are being propelled by the cinema lovers' day across multiplexes with a discounted price of rs. 99. ## In 3 national chains (PVR, INOX, Cinepolis), Article 370 has sold over 80K tickets so far. It is about to finish around 100K for the opening day, which is higher than some big ticket entertainers like Lal Singh Chaddha, Vikram Vedha, and Drishyam 2, among others. ## With the kind of pre-sales the movie is having, an opening of well over 10 crores mark would have been assured but it comes at half of normal ticket prices. Akshay Kumar's 'Soorarai Pottru' Remake Release Date Locked

Mumbai, February 12 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of the much-awaited actioner Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, co-starring Tiger Shroff, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, among others. The movie, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, will be hitting big screens on Eid 2024. ## Akshay's next after BMCM will be the Hindi remake of the Tamil movie Soorarai Pottru, directed by Sudha Kongagra. The movie was supposed to hit screens in February this year but was postponed to keep a long gap between the actor's last release and BMCM. ## Now, according to Pinkvilla, producers Vikram Malhotra and Suriya along with Akshay Kumar have locked July 12, 2024, for the theatrical release of the movie that is tentatively titled Start Up. Suriya, who headlined the original movie, has also played a cameo in the upcoming Hindi remake. ## It is said that the makers will officially announce the release of Start-Up soon with a first-look teaser. The movie will have a longer promotional campaign with multiple assets dropping leading to its release date. Box Office: Fighter Nears 200 Crore Net After Decent Third Weekend

Mumbai, February 11 - Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan and director Siddharth Anand's aerial action thriller Fighter has a decent third weekend at the domestic box office, taking a step closer to the 200 crores net collection mark. ## Also starring Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, Fighter minted approximately 9.40 crores net in its third weekend, pushing the total collection to around 197 crores in 18 days. The movie will enter the 200 crores club by Tuesday or Wednesday to become the first Indian film of 2024 to do so. ## Fighter is also heading towards 350 crores gross at the worldwide box office. After 3rd weekend, the movie stands at approximately 332 crores gross globally, including 236.50 crores in India alone. Mumbai, February 11 - Maddock Films' romantic-comedy Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in the leading roles, is turning out to be a good outing at the box office. ## Directed by debutante Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, the impossible love story opened to decent numbers on the opening day, grossing approximately 13.50 crores worldwide, including 8 crores gross (6.70 crores net) in India alone. The film's opening was on the expected lines after sort of advances it scored. ## The movie witnessed a good jump of around 40% on its second for approximately 19 crores worldwide, including around 11.50 crores gross (9.65 crores net) domestically. The movie was tentatively titled Prem Ki Shaadi and was supposed to go on floors in the second half of 2024. ## Salman officially confirmed Prem Ki Shaadi and director Sooraj Barjatya also confirmed that he was working on the script, generating so much excitement among the fans. However, the latest reports suggest that Barjatya's film will unlikely happen anytime soon and might be shelved over creative differences. ## According to a report by Mid-Day, "If you see the sort of star that Salman Khan is today and the director's films, the two are poles apart in terms of their creative sensibilities. Box Office: Fighter Has A Decent Second Week Domestically

Mumbai, February 8 - Hrithik Roshan's Fighter scored a decent second week at the domestic box office with around 40.50+ crores net. The Siddharth Anand's directorial aerial action thriller is heading towards finishing over 200 crores net collection, which at one stage, looked very difficult.## After the good but underwhelming first week of 146.50 crores net, Fighter needed a turnaround to stay afloat and managed to do that with a timely jump over the second weekend in which the movie minted approximately 28.75 crores net.## The movie had another drop on its second Monday which was expected but just like the first week, it didn't drop drastically and stayed steady during the weekdays. The total net collection of Fighter after 15 days is approximately 187.40 crores and it will look to go past the 200 crores mark in the third week. ## At the overseas box office, Fighter is putting up a good show and has grossed an estimated 90 crores so far, for worldwide around 315 crores in two weeks (15 days). Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' Breaks Viewership Record For An Indian Movie On Netflix

Mumbai, February 7 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor has broken a viewership record on Netflix. The action drama film scored the highest viewership for an Indian movie (direct or indirect) on the streamer in the first 10 days. ## Animal, which premiered on Netflix on January 26, has so far scored 39.3 million viewing hours from 11.7 million views in the first 10 days which is the highest ever for an Indian title. Previously, Yami Gautam-starrer Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga (direct release) was the most-watched Indian title on Netflix in the first 10 days with 29 million hours. ## Among the post-theatrical Netflix releases, SS Rajamouli's mega-hit RRR was previously the number-one watched movie at the same time with 25.5 million viewing hours, a number Animal has beaten by a long margin.
