Mumbai, June 7 - Director Nitesh Tiwari's cinematic adaptation of Ramayana has been put on hold indefinitely, according to reports. The movie was supposed to be headlined by Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi as Ram and Sita. ## The movie has been in pre-production for a long time but as per the reports, the project has been put on the backburner for the time being. Mumbai, June 7 - In February last year, Sony Pictures India in association with Mukesh Khanna's Bheeshm International, and Brewing Thoughts Private Limited announced the cinematic adaptation of the popular Indian superhero show Shaktimaan. ## Sony Pictures announced the movie as a planned trilogy, but there hasn't been much development happened since the announcement. During this, the rumors have been making rounds that Ranveer Singh was approached to play the iconic role but there was no confirmation about the same after that. ## Mukesh Khanna, who played the titular role in the "Shaktimaan" tv series, has now opened up on why the production of the movie is getting delayed and when it will start rolling. Khanna confirmed that the contract between him and Sony Pictures has already been signed and plans are being made to start the production soon. ## "This is a big-scale project and each film in the trilogy would cost at least 200-300 crores in the making. This is not a small film, it is a massive film, and that takes time. Hyderabad, June 6 - Superstar Prabhas-fronted highly-awaited Adipurush is getting ready to release in theaters on June 16. The movie is having a huge buzz and curiosity among the fans and general audiences or even the trade that is hopeful of massive returns. ## With just 10 days to go for the release, the makers are getting big offers from distributors to grab the theatrical rights. Since Prabhas is playing the lead role, the distributors from Telugu states have thrown huge money for theatrical rights. ## According to Telugu media reports, People Media Factory acquired the Telugu states theatrical rights of the film for a whopping approx. 120 crore, according to T2BLive. 'Ram Siya Ram' Song In 'Adipurush' 24-Hours Views Count On YouTube

Mumbai, May 30 - After the massive response to Jai Shri Ram song a week ago, the new song Ram Siya Ram from director Om Raut's Adipurush was launched yesterday, and as expected, it turned out to be another massive hit for the makers. ## Sung and composed by Sachet-Parampara from the lyrics by Manoj Muntashir Shukla, Ram Siya Ram was launched on T-Series' YouTube channel, and in the first 24 hours, it received huge 38+ million views in all languages, which is the second highest ever for a movie song in India. ## The Hindi version of the song got little over 32 million views in 24 hours, which is the second highest ever after the film's first song Jai Shri Ram which scored around 32.20 million views. The other versions of the latest hit song scored around 6 million views, including 4.5 million of the Telugu version. His last film, "Selfiee" was an outright disaster despite getting mixed to positive reviews. ## Akshay believed that in the post covid-19 pandemic, the audience's taste has changed and they want to watch only larger-than-life films in theaters. He said that the change is happening in the industry and the movies are being planned accordingly. The covid was a huge setback but Akshay is hopeful that by the end of 2024, the industry will have stability and would be in a better position than it is today.## Box office results aside, the "Ram Setu" actor has been accused of charging high upfront fees which lead to an increase in budget and if the movie fails it results in huge losses to the makers. I am the partner in the films. If Selfiee has flopped, I will not get money or will get just 10% of what my fee was. Today, if you come to me with an idea and if we work on the film, we will work as partners and release it together. If it works, both of us will earn. If not, we both will earn less or not at all. But it won't go in minus", he said in an interview with Mint. ## He further said that despite the fact that Selfiee and Rakshabandhan did not work at the box office, Disney or Zee have not lost money because of these films as he was the one who didn't earn because of not charging upfront. Hyderabad, May 28 - Prabhas-fronted "Adipurush" is getting ready to release on June 16 this year amid huge anticipation among fans and trade.
