Mumbai, November 15 - Back in 2020, Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor was announced to headline the supernatural fantasy thriller Naagin trilogy. Vishal Furia was on board to direct the film with Nikhil Dwivedi as producer. ## However, after the announcement, the development of the project didn't take place and it was seemingly put on the backburner. Much delight to the fans, the much-awaited trilogy is back on track after 4 years of announcement and is set to go floors by 2025. ## During a recent interaction with India Today, producer Nikhil Dwivedi shared that the script took three years and was redone thrice. Talking about Shraddha's casting, the producer said that she was always the first choice and when she heard about the idea, the actress jumped at it. ## The filmmaker further said that they are expected to take the movie on floors by 2025 and release it in 2026. Sithara Entertainment and Fortune Four Cinemas produce the film with Srikara Studios. ## On Friday (November 15), the makers unveiled the first-look title glimpse of NBK 109, giving fans a sneak peek into the movie. As reported earlier, the film has been titled Daaku Maharaj. The exact plot details are still unclear, but the teaser hints at a period drama, giving a fierce look at NBK as Daaku Maharaj.## The action-packed promo also revealed the first look of Bobby Deol who is reportedly playing the villain role. Mumbai, November 12 - Yash Raj Films' spy action thriller Pathaan starring Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham, and Deepika Padukone along with a cameo of Salman Khan, is one of the biggest blockbusters of Indian cinema with over 1000 crores collection at the worldwide box office. ## Apart from the film's historic box office performance, the Sidharth Anand's directorial was the first movie since the iconic Karan Arjun (1995) when SRK and Salman Khan reunited on the big screen and that was one biggest highlights of the film, especially end-credit scene which went viral. ## In that scene, King Khan's character interacts with Salman's Tiger after the latter saves him, "Hume hi karna padega bhai, desh ka sawaal hai, baccho pe nahi chood sakte". Mumbai, November 9 - Director Rohit Shetty's Singham Again starring Ajay Devgn has become the highest-grossing film in the franchise at the domestic as well as worldwide box office, beating the lifetime collection of Singham Returns in just 5 days. ## The latest instalment in the cop action drama scored 232 crores gross worldwide in the first 5 days which surpassed the total worldwide collection of Singham Returns' (Singham 2) 216 crores gross. Domestically, Singham 3 outgrossed Singham 2's 200 crores gross in a flat 7 days to become the biggest film in the franchise. ## Singham 3, which is 5th movie in Shetty's cop universe, is currently in the second weekend and has so far grossed approximately 275 crores worldwide, including 217 crores domestically (207.50+ crores net) in 8 days, through the second Friday. Drishyam 2 was released in 2022 and was a huge hit while Shaitaan debuted this year and turned out to be a slipper hit. ## There have been reports that the next instalments of both the aforementioned franchises are in development and now, Ajay Devgn has confirmed the same. Mumbai, November 8 - It was recently reported how the OTT platforms have been controlling the theatrical releases of Bollywood films by signing pre-contracts for the streaming release, and this practice has been admitted by producer Bhushan Kumar whose Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 made to clash with director Rohit Shetty's Singham Again. ## The box office clash between BB3 and Singham Again didn't make sense as both films were hugely anticipated and were seen as potential blockbusters. While both movies are doing well at the box office, one must admit that their overall potential was cut short by the unwanted clash due to their streaming partners. ## Producer Bhushan Kumar of T-Series said in an interview with Bollywood Hungama that both parties attempted to avoid the clash as both franchises are highly valuable and hold significant audiences. However, despite the intention to not release the movies on the same day, Kumar admitted that contractual constraints with OTT platforms and creative factors made it unavoidable. ## "Nowadays, there are some constraints, like pre-commitments with OTT platforms. If you try to change those dates, the OTT platform doesn't allow it. That was our constraint, and they probably had similar ones", the filmmaker said. Mumbai, November 7 - In an exciting development, actor Sidharth Malhotra has been confirmed to headline a jungle-based folk thriller film, titled VVAN- Force of The Forrest. This will be produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures and The Viral Fever (TVF). ## The movie was announced on the occasion of the Chhath festival with an interesting motion poster that begins with a warning - Entry into the forest is prohibited after sunset, as a man running away from a temple in the jungle with a flambeau. ## Panchayat fame Deepak Kumar Mishra will direct VVAN and be released on Chhath Puja 2025 in theatres worldwide.
