Scarlett Johansson-Led New 'Jurassic World' Movie Gets An Official Title

Mumbai, August 29 - Universal Pictures has officially revealed the title and the first of the new Jurassic World film, led by Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali. It is the seventh film in the 31-year-old science fiction action franchise. ## On Thursday (August 29), Universal Pictures announced on social media the new Jurrasic World movie has been titled Jurassic World Rebirth and it will debut in theatres on 2 July 2025. Gareth Edwards ("Rogue One: A Star Wars Story") is directing the film. ## The official synopsis of the movie states, "The film will be set five years following the events of Jurassic World Dominion (2022) when "the planet's ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived".## It continues, "The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind".## Apart from the official title, the studio also revealed the first look at Scarlett Johansson whose character is a covert ops expert named Zora Bennett, who has been hired to lead the team extracting DNA from the three most gargantuan dinosaur species left alive. 'Indian 2' Makers Lend In Legal Trouble Over The Film's OTT Release

Chennai, August 29 - Legendary Kamal Haasan and director Shankar reunited for the sequel to their 1997 Indian and released it on the big screen in July this year after years of production delays. Indian 2, produced by Lyca Production, however, failed to create any magic at the box office and ended up as a disaster.## After the no-show at the box office, Indian 2 premiered on the digital platform on August 12, 4 weeks after the theatrical release. Shockingly, the Hindi version of the movie also started streaming in less than 6 weeks after its release and this has put the makers in legal trouble. ## According to the report in Pinkvilla, the Multiplex Association of India has sent a legal notice to the team of Indian 2 for flouting the OTT rules. It is known to everyone that films released in Hindi will have to follow a strict 8-week OTT window, and the ones who don't obey the guidelines, won't get a release in the top 3 national multiplex chains – PVRInox and Cinepolis. ## The report suggests that the makers of Indian 2 had agreed to the guidelines to release the Hindi version, Hindustani 2 in multiplexes, which means, the dubbed version was supposed to be available on OTT on September 6 but MAI was shocked to know that it is already available on Netflix, much before the set window.## The Multiplex Association wants to give a stern message to all the producers to follow the 8-week window and in this process, the organization has sent a legal notice to the Indian 2 team. 'Stree 2' Crosses 2 Crore (20 Million) Footfalls In India; Second Indian Movie of 2024 To Do So

Mumbai, August 27 - Maddock Films and Jio Studios' horror-comedy Stree 2 has become only the second Indian movie of 2024 to sell over 2 crores tickets at the Indian box office, after Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD. ## The Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted blockbuster sold nearly 1 million tickets on its 12th day, second Monday (Krishna Janmashtami), for total footfalls of approximately 2.06 crores (20.06 million) in 12 days so far, behind just Kalki 2898 AD which has sold 3.63 crores of tickets. ## Notably, Stree 2 has sold 20+ million tickets in just a single language while Kalki is a multi-lingual movie. In Hindi, the Prabhas-starrer blockbuster sold approximately 1.56 crores of tickets in India which is the second highest of the year. Hrithik Roshan's Fighter is at three with 1.17 crores footfalls in Hindi.## At the box office, Stree 2 is nearing 500 crores gross collection in India.
