Box Office: Vijay Sethupathi's 'Maharaja' Tops 50 Crore Gross Worldwide In One Week
Chennai, June 20 - Vijay Sethupathi-fronted action thriller Maharaja has become the 5th Tamil movie of 2024 to enter the 50 crores gross club at the worldwide box office within a week, joining Captain Miller, Ayalaan, Aranmanai 4, and Garudan in the list. ## Directed by Nithilan Saminathan, Maharaja grossed an estimated 57 crores, including around 41 crores in India and 16 crores gross at the overseas box office. It is expected to close the first week with around 61 crores gross. ## Maharaja is currently the 4th highest-grossing Tamil film of the year after beating Soori's Garudan which has scored an estimated 56+ crores gross in 3 weeks.
