Writer Vijayendra Prasad Shares A Big Update On Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 and Rowdy Rathore 2

Mumbai, April 20 - Director Kabir Khan's comedy-drama Bajrangi Bhaijaan is one of the most loved films of superstar Salman Khan. Released in 2015, the movie won several accolades and was a big box office blockbuster with a worldwide gross collection of over 900 crores. ## The film was a massive success and won the hearts of the audiences with its emotional story, penned by Vijayendra Prasad. Salman Khan delivered an emotionally charged career-best performance in the film and now, there is good news regarding its long-awaited sequel. ## Over the last few years, there have been talks about Bajrangi Bhaijaan's sequel and it seems it will finally be a reality soon. During a promotional event for actor Ayush Sharma's film Ruslaan, producer KK Radhamohan said in the presence of Vijayendra Prasad that the script of BB2 is ready to which the writer agreed. ## The filmmaker further revealed that Vijayendra Prasad will narrate the script of the sequel to Salman Khan soon and if all goes well, the production will start soon. However, he noted that he isn’t producing Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2.## Apart from Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2, producer Radhamohan also revealed that the writer has written two stories for him, and one of them is Vikramarkudu 2, which is Rowdy Rathore 2 in Hindi. Yami Gautam-Starrer 'Article 370' Final Worldwide Box Office Collection

Mumbai, April 19 - Yami Gautam-fronted political thriller Article 370 has completed its box office journey with a worldwide collection of over 100 crores gross, turning out to be a bonafide success. ## Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, Article 370 was released on February 23 with favourable critics' reviews and audience word of mouth. It took a good opening of around 6 crores net, followed by the opening week of around 35.50 crores net. ## After the good first week, the movie showed a stronghold in the second week with a drop of just 37% for 22.30 crores net and it continued to show the same trend over the next few weeks despite the arrival of new films. The movie managed to go past 75 crores net which is a very good result. ## Overseas, Article 370 was decent with around 12.50 crores gross collection, for a worldwide total of around 105 crores. The movie is currently the fifth highest-grossing Bollywood title of the year at the worldwide box office. Mumbai, April 19 - It was a super low turnaround at the box office on Eid 2024 as both tentpole films, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan, bombed without making much noise. ## Ajay Devgn-fronted sports biopic Maidaan received a positive reception from critics as well as from audiences, however, it was all doom and gloom at the box office for the movie. In its extended 8-day first week, the movie scored low approximately 28.35 crores net. ## Overseas, Maidaan remained poor with an estimated 7 crores gross collection, for around 40.50 crores worldwide total. Mumbai, April 19 - Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff-fronted Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has had a disappointing first-week collection at the domestic as well as the worldwide box office. Despite the Eid release and strong cast and crew, the movie failed to cash in on the opportunity. ## Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the action thriller scored a little under 50 crores net collection in all versions, including an estimated 49.25 crores in Hindi in the extended 8-day first week. Ideally, for a film like BMCM, this should have been a 2-day collection. ## At the overseas box office, BMCM was released through Yash Raj Films but the response was underwhelming as it scored an estimated 27 crores in the first week. Adding to the domestic gross collection of approximately 59.50 crores, the movie grossed 86.50 crores worldwide which is a very poor total. ## BMCM is heading for a finish under 125 crores worldwide against a budget of over 300 crores, turning into a big failure at the box office. Varun Dhawan's 'Baby John' Release Date Postponed

Mumbai, April 13 - Varun Dhawan's much-awaited action drama Baby John has reportedly been postponed from its May 31st release. Directed by Tamil filmmaker Kalees, the movie is still in production and needs some more time to be completed. ## According to a report by Peepingmoon.com, Baby John has so far been shot for more than 75 days since August 2023 but still has 10-12 days of shooting remaining, which is expected to be wrapped up by April-end. The movie will follow an extensive post-production. ## Also starring Keerthy Suresh (Bollywood debut) and Wamiqa Gabbi among others, the makers are now reportedly looking to release the film in June/July but the exact date will be locked once the shoot is wrapped up. Yash Officially Joins 'Ramayana' As Co-Producer And Actor

Mumbai, April 12 - Kannada superstar and producer, Yash has officially joined director Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana. The actor-filmmaker's Monster Mind Creations will co-produce with Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios to bring this epic to global audiences. ## The upcoming adaptation of Ramayana is touted to be a dream project, not just for the talent involved but for Indian cinema overall. Apart from co-producing the film, which will be turned into a trilogy, Yash is also playing one of the main roles. ## Yash said in a statement (via Variety), "It has been my long-term aspiration to make films that will showcase Indian cinema on a global level. In pursuit of that, I was in L.A. to ally with one of the best VFX studios, and to my amazement, the driving force behind it was a fellow Indian. Namit and I had various ideation sessions, and coincidentally, our synergy on the vision for Indian cinema aligned perfectly".## "We brainstormed various projects, and during these discussions, the subject of ‘Ramayana’ came up. Namit had a part of it in the works. The ‘Ramayana,’ as a subject, deeply resonates with me and I had an approach in my mind for it. By joining forces to co-produce ‘Ramayana’ we are bringing together our collective vision and experience to create an Indian film that will ignite excitement and passion in audiences across the world". ## The cast of Ramayana will officially be announced real soon but it is known to the Indian audiences that Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Lord Ram alongside Sai Pallavi as Sita. Yash will be seen playing the role of Lankesh/Raavan, the main antagonist of Ramayana. Mumbai, April 11 - The Bollywood box office sees a low response on Eid day as both the big releases of the day, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and Maidaan fail to capture the attention of moviegoers with underwhelming numbers. ## Both films are struggling to reach the 20 crore net mark combined which is disappointing. According to early estimates, Akshay Kumar, and Tiger Shroff-fronted BMCM scores around 15-16 crores net collection, all thanks to the last-minute push in advances and Eid holiday factor. ## After the initial response in pre-sales, BMCM was heading for a low double-digit start but got some sort of momentum in the final hours and spot booking to get a little push in the collection. The movie needs a big push over the weekend to get a respectable weekend total. ## Ajay Devgn-fronted Maidaan, which is more of a multiplex film, scores an estimated 4.50-5 crores net collection on opening day. It minted around 2.50 crores in Wednesday paid previews, so the full first-day total is around 7+ crores, which would have been decent had it been a pure opening day. ## Maidaan is likely to see a good jump over the weekend due to positive word of mouth. Mumbai, April 7 - In one of the major surprises of the year, Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon-fronted heist comedy film Crew has topped 100 crores at the worldwide box office and emerged as a hit venture for the makers. ## Directed by Lootcase fame Rajesh A Krishnan, the all-female-led entertainer reached the 100 crore gross globally on its 10th day and becomes the 5th Bollywood film of 2024 to achieve the feat after Fighter, Shaitaan, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and Article 370. ## Crew has grossed approximately 69 crores (including an estimated second Sunday collection) in India and an estimated 36 crores overseas for 105+ crores worldwide gross in 10 days. With this, it has surpassed the total collection of Article 370 and becomes the 4th highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year. ## It has become Kareena Kapoor's 12th film to enter the 100 crores worldwide box office club while for Tabu, Crew is her 11th film (including supporting roles), and 6th for Kriti Sanon. Madhava, and Janki Bodiwala, Shaitaan has grossed approximately 166.75 crores in India and an estimated 33.25 crores overseas in 4 weeks (28 days) for worldwide 200 crores gross. Mumbai, April 2 - Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon finally scored a success in the form of romantic-comedy Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. Directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, the film was released during Valentine's Day week on February 9. ## The Maddock Films and Jio Studios' production wasn't loved by most critics but audiences showered praise towards the film that translated into a box office hit. TBMAUJ opened to decent numbers of approximately 6.70 crores net, followed by the opening weekend of 28+ crores net. ## The movie showed consistency during the weekdays and jumped on weekends to stay afloat and did enough to emerge a much-needed box office success for the lead actors.
