Mumbai, May 8 - Aamir Khan's production venture Laapata Ladies is getting much deserving attention after its digital release on Netflix. As word of mouth is spreading, the movie not only scoring high viewership on Netflix but also seeing an upward trend at the box office. ## In its second week (April 29 - May 5), Laapata Ladies was the third most-viewed non-English film on Netflix worldwide with 11.6 million viewing hours from 5.6 million views, jumping by around 160% from the opening weekend. The total viewership of the movie now reached 16.1 million viewing hours from 7.8 million views in just 10 days. ## Laapata Ladies is already one of the most-watched Indian movies on Netflix this year and has emerged as a massive success for the streamer who reportedly bought it for 15 crores. The movie is trending in the top 10 in 20 countries, including number 1 in India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.## At the box office, Laapata Ladies witnessed a jump of over 40% in its 10th weekend from the 9th weekend. The collection of the 10th week has already crossed the 9th week's total in just 5 days which is a positive sign. Mumbai, May 6 - Kunal Khemu's directorial debut Madgaon Express still has something left in it to bring laughter at the box office as the comedy entertainer is kind of having a rebound at the low level domestically.## Produced by Excel Entertainment, Madgaon Express, which once looked like would finish under 25 crores net, is now looking at 35+ crores and might get close to the 40 crores mark. In its 7th weekend, the movie minted approximately 1.30 crores net which is more or less similar to Akshay Kumar's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan's 4th weekend collection. ## The movie didn't show any drop from the 6th weekend as the total collection of Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi, and Avinash Tiwary-starrer entertainer is approximately 33.80 crores net (40.25 crores gross) in 45 days. Mumbai, May 3 - Heist comedy Crew is heading for a finish of over 80 crores net after the solid hold in its 5th week. Starring Tabu, Kriti Sanon, and Kareena Kapoor, the movie is getting benefitted from the lean phase of new movies. ## Directed by Rajesh Krishnan, Crew minted approximately 3 crores net, dropping around 24% in its 5th week. The movie had the strongest hold in the last week in its box office run so far and it is expected to maintain the same trend in the next couple of weeks. ## The total net collection of the film is approximately 78.80 crores while the gross collection is around 93.25 crores in 35 days. Overseas, Crew has grossed an estimated 55 crores, pushing the total worldwide cume to over 148 crores. However, in a positive indication, the movie witnessed a minor jump in its 9th week after the OTT release. ## Directed by Kiran Rao, Laapataa Ladies has been hailed as one of the best Indian films of 2024 but the lack of star power proved a roadblock in its box office journey.
